I opened my protein yoghurt as Austin smacked his hands on the table as he sat down across from me. My body jumped in fright causing me to accidentally drop my plastic spoon onto the floor.

"So" Austin began. I looked down at my yoghurt. I told the lunch lady I wanted chocolate and she gave me strawberry. "How was it?"

It was amusing watching Austin try to act nonchalantly like he didn't desperately want to know.

"Can I have another spoon?" I said staring blankly at him.

Austin groaned picking up his own plastic spoon and handing it to me. I took it and began eating.

"So?" He yelled.

"So what?" I answered.

"How was it?! This is big shit dude. You haven't been on a date since 6th grade!" He exclaimed dramatically.

"When did I..." I trailed while looking up confused. "Are you talking about when I played Joseph in the nativity with Karla Davidson?" Every day I question my friendship with this man.

"Exactly! You've never even really been on a date!" He shouted. We began getting looks for people passing and other tables.

"I don't know that was pretty streamy" I joked, laughing at myself and going back to my protein yoghurt.

"Just tell me!"

I shrugged scraping the ends of my pots. "Look your food was great okay? Is that what you wanted to hear? Sandwiches were delicious. You were trying to kill me with that Reeces though. We talked, we laughed, we saw the water and we fed the ducks, it was magical"

It actually was really fucking great. But I'm not letting Austin know that.

"And how was therapy?" He asked with a concerned look on his face.

"Also magical. Zack says hi"

"Fucking love that guy" Austin smiled to himself while taking out his peanut M&Ms. "Do you like her?"

I froze suddenly and stared at him. "Well...I don't know" I stuttered.

"So yes?" He smirked picking out the green ones. The cafeteria buzzed around us and I sighed again finishing my food.

"Aren't you supposed to be on a diet?" I asked pointing at the sweets.

"Well...yeah. Don't tell my Coach, or Rae" he said turning his head and looking out for his girlfriend.

"No more Monday's milkshakes or M&Ms for either of us then" I added.

"You too?"

"Yeah, Coach Wilson is working us really hard. Even I can't keep up in training. My dad is making me eat healthier and going on runs and shit like that" I remembered this morning being woken up at the crack of dawn by my dad who then made me go running with him.
If wasn't that bad it just wasn't something I usually do.
