Corys Pov:

"Can we take a break? We worked for two hours now." she whined and I shook my head.

"Don't you want to have this over as soon as possible?" I asked her and she rolles her eyes.

"Yes. But I don't want to work anymore!" she complained and I sighed.

Then suddenly the door opened and Mom walked in. "Hey um..dinner's ready." she said with a smile.

"Lucy do you want to stay for dinner?" mom asked and Lucy turned to me with a smirk.

"Sure." she replied and mom smiled at us one more time before walking back out.

"You got lucky this time." I told her and she chuckled.

We both then walked downstairs and sat down at the dinner table. Mom and Ma are sitting across from us and we all started eating.

"So..did you two work good?" ma asked and I nodded.

"I didn't even get a break after two hours!" Lucy whined and I snorted.

"Well that's just how she is. She's really hard working." Mom said which made me smile.

Lucy then looked at me and I quickly looked away blushing.

I don't even know why I did that. I just feel nervous when she looks at me..with her gorgeous blue eyes.

We then continued eating and after like an half an hour we all finished.

Lucy then stood up which caught our attention. "I should go." she said and mom stood up too.

"You can stay over if you want. I mean..It's pretty late." she said and Lucy gave her a small smile.

"I don't want to bother." she said and Ma shook her head with a smile.

"You're not bothering us." she said which made Lucy smile a bit.

I actually never seen her smile before..but she should definitely do it more often.

Her smile is beautiful.

"Just let your parents know that you're staying here." Mom said and Lucys small smile faded.

"They won't care." she replied with a sad smile.

"Of course they care. They love you." Ma said and she sighed.

"C..Can I sleep somewhere? I'm tired." she asked, trying to avoiding the conversation.

But why?

"Yeah. Cory?" mom called me and I looked at her.

"Can she sleep in your room?" she asked and I froze.

"Um..sure." I replied shyly and she smiled.

"Y..you guys don't have to do this. I can sleep on the couch in the living room." Lucy said but I shook my head.

"No. You sleep in my bed." I told her with a smile

"Okay." she whispered and I walked over to her.

I hold my hand out for her to take and she hesitated at first but then took my hand.

When she took my hand I had these weird feelings but I ignored them.

I then lead her upstairs into my room and gave her some clothes.

She walked into my bathroom which is connected to my room and changed. After a while she came out again and sat down on my bed.

"Why are you guys so nice to me? You don't even know me." She asked and I sat down next to her.

"That's just how we are." I replied with a shrug.

"My moms just thought me to treat everyone the way you want to get treated." I added with a small smile.

She looked down at her hands while biting her lip. "Thank you..for being nice." she said and I smiled.

"You should go to sleep." I told her and she nodded.

She laid down and put the duvet over her. "I'll come later, okay?" I told her and she nodded.

I then stepped out and walked downstairs. "So..she isn't that bad as you thought." Ma said and I shrugged.

"Yeah you're always right." I mocked her with a smile and they laughed.

"Obviously." Mom said with a smile.

"So..and for how long do you like her?" Ma then asked which made me freeze.

"W- What?" I stuttered and she smiled.

"Don't play dumb Cory. I can see you do." Ma said and I blushed.

"I don't know what you're talking about." I mumbled while avoiding eye contact with them.

"Cory..liking someone is nothing you should be ashamed of." Ma told me and I walked over to them and sat down between them.

"I wouldn't say I like her. It's more like some stupid little crush who probably goes away soon." I replied with a shrug.

"I thought that with Skylar too but after some time I just realized that it's not a crush anymore and that I really like her." Ma said which made Mom smile.

"Okay, let's just say I would like her. There's no chance that she would like me back." I responded and they shrugged.

"You never know." mom said.

Then suddenly Lucy walked down while rubbing her eyes. I stood up and walked over to her.

"Hey..what's wrong?" I asked softly.

"I can't sleep." she said with a tired voice.

"Do you want to watch a movie until you're asleep?" I asked her and she nodded.

Mom and Ma then said good night to us and went sleeping. I turned the tv on and Lucy and I sat dowm on the couch.

For a while we just sat there ,watching tv silently until I decided to say something.

"You know..you can lay down if you want." I told her and she looked at me and then nodded.

She then slowly laid on her back with her head on my lap and closed her eyes.

"If you're going to tell this to someone I-"

"I'm not going to tell anyone. I promise." I quickly interrupted her.

"Good." she replied.

"You don't have to be this tuff girl with no emotions around me. Just be yourself." I told her and she scoffed.

"Sorry, but I don't trust you." she responded.

"You don't have to trust me. I just don't want you to pretend to be someone you're not." I told her and she opened her eyes.

"Like you care." she said and I sighed.

"I do care."
