Lucy's Pov:
"I do care"
When she said that I just looked at her without saying anything.
Does she really mean it?
"I really do." she added with a serious face.
"Why?" I asked her and she froze.
"Um..because I..uh." she stuttered and I rolled my eyes.
"See. You don't even know why so how should I belive you?" I asked her.
"Like I said..you don't have to believe or trust me. I just want to see you happy again." she said and looked down.
"I don't even know what that is." I replied with a scoff.
"What do I have to do to make you happy?" She asked and looked back up.
"There isn't something you can do." I answered with a shrug.
I then sat up again and turned to the screen. I crossed my arms and leaned back.
"And don't think we'll ever be friends just because I'm sleeping over." I told her coldly and she sighed.
"I don't." she replied and then stood up.
"I'm going to sleep. Do you wanna stay here or come with me?" she said with a straight face and I stood up too.
"I'll come with you." I said and she nodded.
We then walked upstairs and changed into something more comfortable.
Cory and I got in the bed, facing away from each other and after a while I fell asleep.

| September 7th | Sunday |
I woke up because the sun was shining in my face so I turned around. My eyes widened when I realized that my face is just a few inches away from Corys.
I studied her face and she then suddenly opened her eyes and stared at me. I sat up and she slowly sat up too.
She was about to say something but her phone ringed. She grabbed her phone and answered her phone. I grabbed my phone too and looked at the time
It's 12am right now.
After like one or two minutes, Cory hung up and sat back down on her bed.
"Who was calling?" I asked and she looked at me.
"My best friend, Abby. She wants to hang out today.." she answered and I nodded.
We then both showered, got dressed and then walked downstairs.
I'm wearing the same clothes as yesterday and she's wearing sweatpants and a Tshirt.
Her moms are sitting at the dinner table and when they saw us they smiled.
"Good morning." they both said and Cory smiled.
"Good morning." she said and I mumbled it.
"Do you want to stay for breakfast Lucy?" Skylar asked but I shook my head.
"Um..I can't. I have to go somewhere." I replied and she slowly nodded.
"Okay..Well it's was nice meeting you." she said and I gave her a small smile.
"You too." and with that I was out the door.

My parents died two years ago and since then I live in a shack. It's not much but it's enough for me.
I have a job as a singer in a club and I'm currently walking home so I can change.
After a few minutes, I arrived and then got changed.
I then ate dinner and watched tv and read a book until I had to go.
*****
It's now 8pm which means I have to go. I grabbed my skateboard and drove to the club.
"You're late." Mark, the manager said and I rolled my eyes.
"Sorry." I mumbled.
"There's no time for apologies. Get up on stage." he said and I nodded.
I placed my board on the ground and then walked up on stage. I sat down at the piano and started playing and singing.
I decided to sing 'Don't stop believing' but in a slower version.
Just a small town girl
Livin' in a lonely world
She took the midnight train goin' anywhere
Just a city boy
Born and raised in south Detroit
He took the midnight train goin' anywhereA singer in a smoky room
A smell of wine and cheap perfume
For a smile they can share the night
It goes on and on, and on, and onStrangers waiting
Up and down the boulevard
Their shadows searching in the night
Streetlights, people
Living just to find emotion
Hiding somewhere in the night
Thank you so much for 200k on New Home!
