Chapter 12 - But they still said it

Corys Pov:

After a few minutes we arrived at school and I was about to get out of the car but Lucy stopped me.

"Wait um..can I ask you something?" she asked and I sat back down.

"Um..can we keep our relationship a secret?" she asked and I frowned.

"It's not because I'm ashamed of you or something. It's just..most of the people in school hate me and when they know that we're together they might do something to you.." she explained and I smiled.

"We're together?" I asked and she blushed.

"I- um..only if you want to.." she mumbled and I smiled.

"I would love to." I told her and kissed the edge of her mouth.

"And..yeah. We can keep it a secret." I added and she smiled.

We then got out of the car and walked into building. When we walked through the hallway everyone stared at us.

"Why's everyone staring at us?" I whispered to her.

"Probably because I usually don't walk with people. And especially not with someone as great as you. "she said which made me smile.

We then stopped when we saw Abby, Lars and Rob walking in our way.

I quickly looked at Lucy and she nodded. She then grabbed my hand and walked with me past them.

While we walked past them, I looked at them and it felt like everything was in slow motion.

They all looked at me differently. Abby was sad or worried. Lars glared at Lucy and Rob smirked at Lucy.

Lucy squeezed my hand which made me look at her. "You're okay?" she asked and I nodded.

She then slowly let go of my hand and I immediately missed her touch.

"What do you have now?" she asked when we stopped by my locker.

"Spanish." I answered with a sigh. "And you?" I asked.

"Chemistry." she replied.

"Why did you sigh? Don't you like Spanish?" Lucy asked and I shrugged.

"Well I'm not really good in Spanish." I said and she smiled.

"Well I can teach you. I'm part spanish." she said and I raised my eyebrows.

"Really?" I asked and she nodded.

"Then please teach me! I'm so bad in Spanish." I said and she laughed while nodding.

The bell then ringed and we looked at each other.

"See you later, Mi amor." she said with a smirk and then walked to her class.

I shook my head with a smile and then walked to class too.

When I walked inside the classroom and froze when I saw that Abby was there too.

How could I forget that she has Spanish now too?

I sighed and then walked over to my seat and sat down next to her.

At the beginning of the school year, we determined places where we would be sitting for the rest of the school year.

"Hey. "Abby said but I don't look at her.

"I'm sorry about yesterday." she continued.

"You don't have to be sorry. You didn't do anything wrong." I replied with a shrug.

"I didn't tell the others, you know.." she said and I looked at her.

"Thanks.." I mumbled and Abby gave me a small smile.

"Can we hang out after school today?" she asked and I smiled a bit.

"Sure." I answered and she smiled widly.

"But um..at my house." I added and Abby frowned.

"Okay?" she replied confused.

"I'll explain to you later why." I told her and she nodded.

"So..is everything okay between us again?" she asked and I nodded with a smile.

"But with Lars and Rob, I don't know." I added and Abby looked down.

"They didn't know you feel that way." She said and I sighed.

"But they still said it. "I replied and she nodded while pressing her lips together.

"So..Lucy is now living with you?" Abby said as we walked out of school and I nodded.

I explained to her everything about Lucy but not the part that we're dating.

I just think I'm not ready to tell her yet. And Lucy and I agreed to keep it a secret so I'm not telling anyone without asking her first.

We then walked to my car and I couldn't help but smile when I saw that Lucy is already waiting for me.

She smile too but her smile immediately faded when she saw Abby.

"What is she doing here?" she asked while crossing her arms and glaring at her.

"Calm down Luc. We talked and everything is fine between us." I told her while placing my hand on her arm.

"And besides..she didn't do anything wrong.It was just Lars and Rob." I continued and her face softened while nodding.

"Okay.." Lucy whispered and I smiled.

"Is it okay if you sit in the back?" I asked her and she nodded.

We three then got in my car and I started driving.
