Alex's breath hitched as he stared at the maze in front of him. It stared him down, like a cat to its prey. Alex was beaten and sweaty. His auburn hair was stuck to his forehead with sweat, and his shirt had tears all throughout the collar and torso. His frame was tall and muscular, but the mase made him slouch. the pressure sat on his chest like a ton of bricks. In his adventures before he had never felt this way. He had never felt like something really bad may happen.
The cup. It stood there glimmering in the darkness. Alex ran up to it and suddenly he was sucked to an unknown place with Cedric.
Harry watched it all unfold. There was silence in the crowd. He watched his father who seemed unfazed and held his mother's hands as she was in hysteria. Draco looked too surprised to speak. Pansy was hiding behind Blaise and Crabbe and Goyle were just watching. Everyone watched with intent. For a few minutes, nothing happened. Tears streamed down Harry's face, and Draco pulled him closer. His brother hadn't come back, and then a swirl
"Voldemort's back! He's back!" Alex shouted into the crowd. Harry could barely move as he finally saw Cedric Digory laying in Alex's arms. Alex was crying as he held Cedric. He looked broken. Being a savior had finally caught up to him and all a sudden his little adventures became all too real.
Harry rushed to his brother with Draco in tow, hugging him. James stood off to the side. he was confused. He just couldn't understand what was happening. Alex looked broken. He had broken Alex.
Alex hugged Harry and apologized telling all of what James did. Lily told them it would be ok. They would stay at the Malfoy's. she had her own money, it was all going to be ok.
You know the rest of the story. It is a heart-wrenching, gut-twisting, mind moving story. Eventually, Alex did defeat Voldemort. The war was over. Harry fought alongside the Malfoys, who defied he who must not be named. Draco and Harry led the movement against the ministry with Neville while his brother hunted down Horcruxes. The day Severus Snape died was awful. Harry watched as his mentor was put into the ground. Lily and Snape had finally gotten back together and suddenly he was gone.
It was a dreary day. Harry stood under the Umbrella, Draco held above them. Draco put his hand on Harry's shoulder and reminded him he was there for him.
So many people were lost in the war. Remus, Sirus, Fred. All the people Harry was close with. Each one who died left a little scar with him, but he pushed on cause Draco reminded him there were happier days to come, like their wedding.
They got married only 6 months after the war had ended. Harry wore a white tux and a veil while Draco wore traditional robes, with a doe pinned on his collar. His godfathers pin on his collar. Harry put a single black rose for Sirius and a single red for Remus. They sat side by side on his veil. It was the happiest day of his life.
Harry's story ended happily as most stories do. A rough start didn't matter as long as he had you.
Thank you for reading. I didn't want to drag it out too long, so this sadly is the last chapter, but as you can see the chapter before is a vote for my next book. I wanna keep writing, and I will as long as you keep reading. Thank you for all the support, updates on the new books soon.
