it only took ava about 20 minutes to arrive at my apartment. i had finished getting dressed and by now i had my airpods in trying to mute the noise coming from the apartment next to mine. i was failing.
ava knocked on my door, and i ran to open it. she looked so cute in her ripped jeans, uggs, oversized nascar sweater, and her gorgeous makeup. always lazy in style and extra with makeup, whereas i'm the opposite with extra ass outfits and lazy makeup. it was our perfect compromise.
she hugged me super tight as we were both yelling our greetings ecstatically.
"are you ready to go to the store?" ava asked me.
"almost" i said, blowing out a few candles i had burning.
"okay im ready now!" i said excitedly.
we turned around, walked out of my apartment, and began walking down the long hallway, until i collided with something in my path.
i looked up to see what i assumed to be my loud ass neighbor, since he had walked out of the door next to mine.
"hey watch where you're-!" he stopped himself as he looked down at me.
instead he calmly stated, "yo, be more careful next time okay?"
"you too!!" me and ava both angrily shouted, causing us to look at each other with shock, and then burst out laughing.
my neighbor looked at us as if he was expecting... more.
"are you forgetting something?" he asked me.
"um i don't think so?? why?" i asked curiously.
"an apology maybe?" he said, looking me up and down. except i couldn't tell if it was because he wanted me or hated me.
"go fuck yourself" i told him, rolling my eyes and walking away.
"zoe!! be nice!" ava urged me. "i'm sorry about her" she told my neighbor, catching up to me halfway down the hall.
"yeah whatever" he called out to her.
