"SLOW DOWN ROAN, we need to talk to Titus." Kya exclaims as they follow Roan out of the capitol building.

"Trust me, right now your friend Titus is on his knees in front of Ontari." Roan comments.

"No, there's no way he'll support someone who hacked the heads off children while they slept." Clarke speaks up.

"Yeah, those children were marked for death anyway." Roan mumbles.

"You'll support her, too." Kya realizes, glaring at Roan.

"She's Ice Nation." Roan states as they walk through the streets of Polis.

"Whatever's best for your people. Is that it?" Kya questions.

"That's it. Kind of like how killing every man, woman, and child in Mount Weather was best for yours." Roan continues.

"That's not a bad point." Murphy mumbles.

Kya shakes her head. "Shut up, Murphy."

"Tunnels through here." Roan exclaims, stopping them at the entrance.

"Oh, great. Thank you." Murphy says, heading towards the tunnel.

"I saved your life again." Roan states, turning to Kya, referring to the time when he had let her out of the dungeons when his mother captured her. "My debt to you for sparing mine's now paid. Next time you see me, it won't be as friends." Kya glares at Roan as he walks away, leaving Kya and Clarke by themselves.

"We are not leaving, are we?" Murphy groans when he notices both blondes weren't making their way towards the tunnel.

"Not without the flame." Clarke states.

-

"Have a mentioned that I hate this idea?" Murphy mumbles as they walk through Polis.

"We can't let Ontari get the flame. Come on. He keeps it in the pod. Just stay there, we'll be quick." Kya tells him as they enter the temple. Clarke moves toward the pod, pulling out the kit the flame was in. She had it in her possession when a figure slithered out of the shadows.

"You killed her. I pulled the trigger, but it was you." Titus mutters.

"Titus. You made Lexa a promise, remember?" Clarke exclaims, thinking back to her old lover.

"Give me the kit." Titus states, moving closer to the two girls. Kya doesn't hesitate to pull out her sword, pointing it at Titus's neck.

"Don't come any closer." Kya hisses.

"I know you don't want Ontari to get the flame." Clarke begins. "She murdered those kids, children, you raised. Lexa's spirit would never choose to do something like that-"

"Yes she did." Titus snaps.

"You don't believe that." Clarke whispers.

"I have to." Titus mumbles. "Ontari kom azgeda is the last natblida."

"Then put the damn thing in someone else." Kya exclaims, dropping her sword.

"You stupid girls!" Titus growls, snatching the kit from Clarke. "After all you've witnessed here you still think this is some superstition? When someone without the blood takes the flame, the flame takes their life."

"I don't understand, if nightblood is so rare then why do you let them kill each other? That has to be the dumbest succession plan I have ever heard." Clarke yells.

"We honor those who died in the conclave." Titus tells them.

"Wait, the eighth circle." Clarke suddenly realizes. "Lexa had markings on her back for every life she took at her conclave. Seven circles. Only she told me that there were eight novitiates in her class. What happened to number eight? There's another natblida isn't there?"

Titus nods. "Yes. She fled. She's a coward and traitor to the blood. Lexa refused to let me hunt her down. She's unworthy of the flame."

"More unworthy than Ontari?" Kya questions.

"Au kom ai edei!" A voice in the distance yells.

They walk towards the steps of the room as Murphy falls down them. "She's here."

"Hide." Titus mutters to the two girls, pushing them towards the pod.

"How dare you bring Skaikru into the Order of the Flame?" Ontari comments as Clarke and Kya glance at one another, they tried keeping a close eye on Ontari, but it was hard to see her.

"It's what Lexa wanted." Titus states.

"Well Lexa's not heda anymore." Ontari spits out. "Thanks to you. Let's get this over with."

"You must be cleansed before you ascend. Take her to the Commander's chambers. Perform the ritual." Titus exclaims, looking towards Murphy.

Murphy scoffs. "Are you sure I'm ready for that?"

Ontari whips her sword around, pointing it at Murphy's throat. "Hod op  chichplei, mokskwoma." (Stop talking, worm.) With her final statement, Murphy leads Ontari out of the room.

"Thank you." Clarke exclaims as the girls step away from the pod.

"Even Luna would be better than her." Titus mutters.

Kya's eyebrow arches at Titus comment. "Did you just say Luna?"

"Yes, you heard the name before?" Titus questions, turning towards Kya.

Kya nods. "From my friend, Lincoln."

"Can you find her?" Titus asks. Clarke and Kya glance at one another before deciding that with Lincoln's help they could find Luna. "Then, perhaps the spirit hasn't chosen one, after all."

"We'll take you to him." Clarke speaks up.

"Luna will never allow me near her." Titus is silent for a moment before he places the wrapped flame in front of Clarke. "This is yours now."

Clarke slowly takes ahold of it. "I'll protect it with my life."

"There's a book inside. It's the journal of the first commander. When you find Luna, you'll need it to perform the ascension ritual." Titus begins, leading the girls over to an old closet. "Come. Armor of past commanders. Choose something. Take the hidden passage. The tunnel will lead you to the stable. They're expecting you."

"What about Murphy?" Kya questions.

"I'll get him out." Titus states looking between Kya and Clarke. "Your duty is to the flame now. Fleimkepas."

It was morning by the time Clarke and Kya reached Arkadia, the camp eerily quiet. "What's going on?" Clarke questions as the girls stop their horses on an overlooking hill.

"I don't know." Kya exclaims, glancing down into Arkadia. It was hard to see, but not impossible. Sitting on both knees in the mud was Lincoln, Pike standing next to him with a gun in his hands. "Oh, my God." Kya breathes out. "Is that Lincoln?" Clarke's silence was enough of an answer for Kya.

The two women sit upon their horses as they watch Pike talk, waiting for something to happen, waiting for someone to save Lincoln. Kya's heart begins to beat faster as Pike lifts the gun to Lincoln's head. "What is he doing?" Kya whispers. A gun shot goes off, following was the deafening sound of Kya's scream.
