CROWDS WERE FORMING now as Kya and Roan walked out into the streets of Polis. The two fighters came to stand next to one another as they looked up at Lexa and Nia. Kya could see her friends and family mixed in with the rest of the crowd, all eyes on her. Titus quieted the loud cheering and shouting by raising his hands, setting them down as he begins to speak. "Raun single combat der ste ba won hed op. Someone souda wan op today. Yo hofli begin." (In single combat there is but one rule. Someone must die today. You may begin.) Roan and Kya cast one last glance at one another as they separate. Lexa stands from her seat, walking down the steps to meet Kya.
"Here." Lexa begins, handing Kya her sword. Kya snatches it from Lexa's hold, having missed it greatly. "If you lose today, you will not only die, but I will lose my throne."
"I won't die today." Kya tells the woman before glaring at her. "And that is not how you will lose your throne." With the finale threat, Kya turns leaving Lexa to move back to her seat.
The fight begins before Kya is ready. Roan sneaks up on her, planning to attack her while she is distracted. Unlucky for him, Kya whips around in time slamming her blade against his.
Bellamy and the rest of the group hold their breath as the fight begins, Roan seems like much more of a skilled fighter than Kya, but none of them other than Bellamy knew what Kya had gone through. As Roan passes by Kya she cuts him on the back making groan in pain. He turns quickly, ignoring the pain in his back as he goes after her again.
Kya strikes at Roan, the warriors going back and forth, neither of them gaining an upper hand. At one point Roan is able to size up Kya, pressing her sword towards the ground, taking her along with it. "You're done." Roan states. Kya growls, grabbing ahold of Roan's sword. Blood begins gushing from her hand as she pushes him off of her. The sound of the crowd gasping in the background only spurs her on. With a new found strength Kya pushes forward knocking Roan away from her. Again Roan swings at her, but Kya dodges each shot.
It was stupid, the way Kya got distracted, she couldn't help herself though. As she gazed upon the wide eyes of her friends and family, their expressions reminding her how different she was from the girl they once knew. Noticing Kya was distracted Roan kicks her leg out from under her, knocking her down on her knees. Shaking her head at her mistake, Kya swings at Roan, but he knocks her sword from her hand.
Kya growls, smashing her fist into Roan's leg, causing him to fall to the ground as well. Picking up the sword Roan had dropped, Kya stands up, kicking Roan in the face. While he is still on the ground Kya walks over to her sword, picking it up. Now having the upper hand Kya whips the swords around, copying the moves Roan had been doing earlier.
Roan jumps up from the ground, looking around for anything he could use to protect himself. He believed Kya when she told him she wouldn't kill him, but he had pushed her, maybe too far, and know he didn't know what she planned on doing to him.
Knocking out one of the nearby guards, Roan grabs the man's spear, beginning towards Kya. Roan swings at the girl, but she easily ducks it. Kya lets out a cry as she begins swinging at the man, both of them blocking each others attacks. Eventually Roan is able to catch both of Kya's swords around his spear, from there he jerks them out of her hands and knocks her to the ground.
The crowd quiets as Fayaheda falls to the ground, nothing to protect herself with. Bellamy's heart stops as he watches Roan advance on Kya. The older man stands over the blonde, raising the spear in the air. Without a second thought he brings the spear down, just barely missing her. It would have killed Kya if she didn't quickly shift to the side.
Not wasting anytime Kya swings her legs, knocking Roan to the ground. The crowd cheers as the blonde stands, now towering over Roan. Snatching the spear from its spot on the ground, Kya twirls it in her grasp, watching the fear in Roan's eyes grow.
"Gyon op! Taim yu wan op, yu don't wan op a hainofa, yu wan op a bushhada!" (Get up! If you die, you don't die a prince, you die a coward!) The queen jumps up from her seat, screaming, realizing that Fayaheda was about to beat her son. Kya glances up at the queen before looking back down at Roan.
"Get it over with." Roan states, looking up at the blonde.
Kya lets a smirk appear on her face as she speaks. "Jus drien jus daun." (Blood must have blood.) Before any one can even blink Kya looks up to the queen, throwing the spear. Gasps sound through the streets of Polis as Kya nails the queen in the chest, sending her flying back into her chair.
"Oh, my God." Kane mumbles, watching as his daughter gets the revenge she so deeply craved. He was shocked watching Kya fight, but he couldn't even fathom what she had just done.
"The queen is dead." Lexa suddenly yells, standing up from her seat.
"Long live the king." Kya's voice follows, echoing throughout Polis.

After the fight was over Kya was escorted to the throne room. There waited Lexa, and Kya's friends and family. "You did good today." Lexa begins.
Kya rolls her eyes at Lexa's words. "I didn't do it for you."
"You've made that very clear, Kya." Lexa states before turning towards her father and Abby. "After talking with your father I have decided I will let you go, but you have to promise you won't kill me." It almost sounded funny, the words coming out of Lexa's mouth. "It would be against the deal Skaikru made as the 13th clan, you would be starting a war."
"What if I don't care." Kya growls, moving closer to Lexa. The blonde was stopped when Lexa's guards jolted forward. Before they could move towards Kya, Lexa raises her hand telling them to stand down.
"Just say you won't kill her." Clarke urges Kya.
"Shut up, Clarke." Kya snaps. The tone of her voice confusing everyone as they hear her tell Clarke off. Though Clarke wasn't nearly as confused as the rest of them. In the short time they had to themselves Bellamy had told Clarke little of what Kya had experienced while away, though he had told her that Kya resented her for leaving. Kya shakes her head, sighing, she knew now that no matter what her family wasn't going to let her leave again, there was no point in going back to Shallow Valley. Rolling her eyes Kya begins speaking. "I promise I won't kill you."
A small smile appears on Lexa's face as she nods. "So it's settled, Clarke will stay here as a Skaikru ambassador and Kya, you will finally go back home." Kya's stomach drops at the word 'home'. She left there in the first place because she thought she was a killer, how was she going to return now? The group nods saying there goodbyes to Clarke as Kya waits by the door. Just as they were about to leave Lexa stops them, casting one last look at the sky people, the commander lets a small smile appear on her face. "Kya." She calls. "Mebi choda op nodotaim." (May we meet again.)
