Nadir creased his forehead, "There has to be another way..."

"I assure you that there is no other way, Daroga. Now are you going to help me or not?" Erik growled, fed up with wasting time on plans.

"Aaquil, my name, means wise, or intellectual. Because of this I feel it is not wise, in fact quite the opposite, I feel as it is fool-hardy, but you have helped me with certain matters, and because of that and that I love you as a brother, I will help you." At the beginning Erik scoffed, than his face softened towards the end.

"Thank you, my friend." Erik said to Nadir, "Now I need to borrow your phone. I have contacts here at the police station who can help."

~~~~~~
"Philip."
"Erik." Philip spat. "How did you find me?"
"It does not matter now. I have the police surrounding us. Its over." Erik said, gripping his pistol. He was dangerously close to the edge of the roof.
"Do you believe in suicide?" Philip asked suddenly.
"No, but by all means, if you believe its the right choice, please go ahead."
"Very funny." Philip said sarcastically, "Erik, I have something to confess before I go." He murmured, taking out a vial of liquid.
"I killed that miserable Daae. My men tortured him for hours, until he finally begged to die. I, of course, followed with his wishes."
"You killed him!? How could you?!" Erik roared. A tear ran down his cheek. Christine's father was like a father to him.
"Well, I would love to stay and chat about this, but I really must go. Daae's in the basement. I hope you live your awful and pathetic life to its fullest." He tipped the vial in his mouth, and swallowed.
Now Erik dropped on the ground, and the tears started rolling. He mourned for his friend. Christine who would be without a father as well as a mother, and for Philip. What had made him turn like this? How could someone become like that?
~~~~~~

As I was in the gas station a man called the police and a cop brought me back to the building where Philip had me. He said that Erik was trying to find me and was going to arrest Philip, but that didn't sound like Erik to me. When the cop stopped the car, I saw two men up on the roof that I both recognized. And then one dropped on the roof floor, I rushed up to the roof as soon as I could. Erik was getting up, and I hurried over to him. His arm was bandaged from the gunshot at our wedding from this morning.

"Erik, are you okay." I ask when I see him on the floor.

"Christine.." He sounded like he was about to tell me something, but then said, "I'm fine. Where have you been I was about to rescue you? And why in the hell did you go with De Chagney?"

"Erik, I'm not at all sorry." I say to him. He doesn't seem to have heard.

"Well, sorry isn't-you're not sorry? What do you mean you're not sorry? Not sorry for what?" He looks at me confused, like I am the most stupid woman in the world. "You should be more than sorry."

"Can we please talk about this later?" I manage say.

"Let's leave and get back to the mansion." He angrily says, "Then we'll talk." He and I get in his car and drive a couple hours back to the country. No words are spoken. I think he was just worried, which can lead men in my experience to be angry.

"Listen, I was just scared." He said while putting the car in PARK on his-our driveway. I sighed, and he continued, "I never had a person love me and I couldn't bear to have you die-"

"Erik!" I blurt out, "Philip De Chagney was about to kill you." I blink my eyes to keep the tears away. I add, "And I couldn't watch you die in front of me. I'm not sorry for going with him on our wedding day." He doesn't say anything. I boldly decide to do something I never would have done before in the mansion or lair. I kiss him on his lips, and my face touches his white mask. He seems more confused then ever, but kisses back and I smile and walk to the front door. He hurries up and carries me up the stairs.

"What was the kiss for?" He asked, his eyes searching for an answer as he places me on the bed in what is now our room.

I sighed. "I love you."

"What?" He replies, almost dropping me. I rolled my eyes. Are men always so confused?

"I love you. Want me to spell it out? I  L-O-V-E  Y-O-U. Want me to sing it? I love you." I tell him again. He crashes his lips on mine. The feeling of his kisses so good and just...Well, wonderful! He kept kissing all over me and I knew he was the one I would spend my entire life with.

What did you all think of Philip? Pretty bad guy. What was your favorite part? Any ideas for my next chapter would be a appreciated since I'm getting writer's block. Also, I want to thank you my sister, Phantom_Christine_5 for helping me write this chapter. Check out her Phantom book, Unconditional Love. PLEASE COMMENT AND VOTE ON MINE AND HERS! :)

PS. the part of the sucide coversation between Erik and Philip is based from the movie, In the Line of Fire with Clint Eastwood in it.
