Erik called from downstairs. "Christine, I found her."

Whew! I thought she was lost. I ran down the stairs, only to find Erik holding our precious little one. Nine months after I told him I was pregant, I gave birth to a baby girl. I was so happy and excited when I held her for the first time. I was thrilled, of course holding my baby, and I was also sad since my parents would never meet their granddaughter, but I knew someday they would.

The cheery eleven-month-old, Gabriella Ann Desslar, giggled when I came downstairs to the kitchen. "How's my baby girl?" I say, as Erik hands her over to me.

Gaby laughs excitedly and claps her hands. I kissed her blond little curls. Gaby smiled and looked at her father with her blue eyes.

"The little monkey climbed on top of the kitchen counter." Erik said.

"Before you know it she'll be walking." I add, smiling. I have the family I always wanted. I never thought though kidnapping or murder would bring us together, but by God's providence it did and everything turned out great in the end.

This isn't the ideal love story. But it is a love story full of adventure, action and love.

And it's mine.
