I know I already have a lot of pending stories, but starting a new project is just my way of dealing with writer's block, so please bear with me! Also, Corona Virus is a serious concern so please don't think I am undermining its danger in any way by writing a story about it. It's just that inspiration comes from the unlikeliest of places and the current situation was just one of them.

This is going to be a short story; one of those drabble-series I do at times, where I hope to give (somewhat) regular updates. The chapters will mostly be short, which will make it easier for me to be more regular. Please leave votes and comments if you like the story, as a source of motivation!

Amidst the pandemonium created world-wide by COVID-19, Annika Trivedi is stuck in Toronto, away from home. After her university asks all students to leave the dorms, Annika has nowhere to go, that is until her best friend in India suggests Annika move in with her brother until things get better. Desperate, Annika agrees, not knowing what she is signing up for.

In a time when the world is threatened by human extinction, will Annika manage to find love in an unlikely place?

(title inspired by the novel Love in the Time of Cholera, by Gabriel García Márquez)

"If home is where the heart is, it was perhaps written in my destiny that I move into that lavish condo in Downtown Toronto."
