Vicky is nice enough to spend her free time helping me with the move. We're moving some boxes into my new home with both of our cars. Unfortunately she knows how to use these moments to get some information out of me. Vicky doesn't waste a minute and already questions me about my relationship.

"So how are things going with Denis?"

"Okay I guess." I instinctively lie.

"That's great. I can tell you're happier lately, maybe he was the right one after all." She smiles.

If she only knew, that Adrien is behind my good mood.

Honestly, I don't think I should say anything further, since there is not really much for me to say. I don't wanna get myself deeper into trouble by lying myself through situations.

The doorbell rings, Vicky being fast enough to open the door before me.

"Hey Denis." I hear her say and my head snaps in the direction of the exit.

Denis is here, right there at the door.

"Hey girls." He looks at me with a slightly shy smile and walks in, greeting Vicky with a hug and me with a kiss on the cheek.

I'm seriously about to panic.

"How's your poor hand doing?" Vicky asks.

"It's alright." He then looks at me, "I missed you."

"Sorry I was very busy."

"You could've at least called me to help you." He says playfully hurt. His smile drops soon, as he notices that I'm not responding the way he wants me to.

I'm no specialist in breakups and I don't know when usually the right time is, but I have to tell him about everything after Vicky leaves. I no longer wanna torture him and myself, for the sake of not hurting his feelings. It'll happen anyway.

"Can I get a kiss at least?" He asks.

My mind almost shuts down, not knowing whether I'd cheat on Adrien if I kiss him. I could never do this to him, what am I supposed to do? If I don't kiss him he'll know that something is very wrong.

"Come on Lola, I've seen you smooch him before, don't be shy." Vicky cocks her head and squints her eyes.

"I have herpes." I lie. Not again, that was a bad one.

"I don't see it." Vicky says, looking disgusted.

"It's starting to grow."

"Okay, sorry. You don't have to kiss me in front of her." Denis says and leans against the wall.

"Hey Lola, we're done here don't you think? I have to get going anyway, Pascal and I have a date." Vicky takes her purse, as she notices how tense the atmosphere has gotten. I don't blame her, but could she please stay for a little longer? Her leaving means, that I have the chance to end things with Denis, I can't.

"Alright, see you around. Maybe we can go on a double date again some time." Denis suggests.

"Sounds cool. I'll let you know when. Bye." She says to the both of us before leaving us alone.

The first few seconds are very awkward and silent.

"So..." Denis starts and takes my hands. "I heard you have a bed."

"It's not finished yet." I lie once again.

"Okay. Where can I sit?"

"Why do you wanna sit?" I ask with furrowed brows.
