A couple of days has passed since the Dragon Kings made contact with their other halves. It killed them inside to not see them, but there wasn't much they could do about it as it seemed they needed time to adjust. It became difficult for the twins as Dragons were extremely centered around the presence of their mates. Though Edgar and Theodore were half Dragon and half warlock, the urges of being around their destined soulmates was still so strong.

"Why does life suck so much?!" Edgar groaned loudly, almost kicking his brother in the rips as his legs were spread across the couch and onto his brother's lap.
"Why the hell couldn't we have been paired up with some other people? I know it's shitty to say that but it is so wrong of me to think this?" Theodore chuckled at his brother's words.

"Edgar, despite both of them being stubborn and hard-headed, we would love them regardless. All their flaws and imperfections aside, they aren't too bad. It's Klaus that is more unpredictable in this case." The older male ended with a sighed. In their opinion, Kol seemed to be the more mature in taking in information while Klaus appeared to need more time to adjust and seemed he would react first if provoked.

Before the dark-haired Dragon King could retort with a response, a knock on the front door halted their conversation as the two stare at the locked door.

"I don't want to get up. I'm too comfortable." Edgar said to his twin who nodded in agreement. The male lifted his hand and used his magic to unlock his door before shouting. "It's open!" He already knew from the scent that it was Kol but another scent was there that he recognized a lifetime ago.

Theodore shook his head before throwing Edgar's legs off his lap and walking toward the door. Edgar pouted but still left the warmth of the couch stand behind his shorter brother.

"Hello, Kol Mikaelson. What a pleasant surprise. What can I do for you?" Theodore greeted in his ever so professional tone and a growing smile. Kol lips's curved into a half-smile as he stood next to a blonde-haired female who the twins have not encountered until now.

"What a suck-up." Edgar coughed out, standing next to his twin with a teasing smile.

Theodore's brow twitched in irritation. "Shut up, smartass. No one asked for your damn input." He snapped with a strained smile.

"Still amusing I see." Kol chuckles. "I stopped by to see if either one of you wanted to accompany me on a trip. My sister, Rebekah, wanted to meet you for reasons I found skeptical." He explained, leaving out details that he did not want to share. It's only been a few days since he has seen or heard from either of the twins since they oddly defended his family. It felt very weird for the original to crave their presence and surprisingly missed them too. Kol Mikaelson quickly found his thoughts consumed with the two dragons.

Theodore and Edgar briefly glanced at each other before simultaneously grinning and giving a small bow toward the perplexed-looking female. "Hello, beautiful. I'm Theodore and this is Edgar and we are happy to make your acquaintance." His tone was light and cheerful.

The younger twin reached behind his back and conjured a small bouquet of black roses, with a simple red bow tied around them. "These are for you, we've heard plenty about you Rebekah Mikaelson." Edgar said in a cheery tone as he handed the flowers to a surprised looking Rebekah. They, however, failed to notice the jealous glint in Kol's eyes as their attention was on Rebekah.

"Thank you," Rebekah awkwardly said, taking the flowers. She was pleasantly surprised how charming and sweet the men were without them even knowing her. Rebekah found herself wondering why she didn't meet them sooner or why they were interested in her family. But oddly enough, something in the back of her mind was telling her she must have met them before as they felt familiar to her. "You both seem like decent people. What the hell would you see in aiding my brothers?" She didn't intend for her tone to sound rude or anything but her curiosity got the better of her.

Before either of the men had a chance to speak, Kol cut them off. "That's enough, sister. We strayed off-topic. Now please answer my question since I need to leave soon." He said in impatience and a bit irritated from the lack of attention. His bitter scowl, confused the two hybrids.

"Well one of us needs to stay here so I thinks it's best if I go," Edgar spoke up first before Theodore could have the chance to talk.

"Wait-what? Edgar, I hate you so much right now and I want to punch your teeth in so badly." Theodore retorted with a scowl. It was no secret to the pair of brothers that it was much easier talking to Kol than Klaus as he would process the intake of information instead of reacting on the spot. Though they could never pick a favorite, they could at the moment pick who would be the easier one to understand their situation.

"I love you too, Theo." Edgar laughed at his brother's expression but felt a bit guilty at leaving his brother alone to deal with Klaus. "When are you planning on leaving?" Edgar asked Kol, focusing on the potential of spending time with his mate even if it was temporary.

"I am going to leave in a few minutes actually," Kol answers accordingly. "I would recommend getting some things with you before we leave. I'll wait for you here or you can invite me in," he suggested.

"Sure. You can come in." Theodore told him as he and Edgar stepped aside. "Rebekah, would you like to come in too?" The blonde had a thoughtful expression but eventually answered that she needed to be somewhere else, leaving the three in the house alone to a somewhat comfortable tension.
