Intense anxiety was the most apparent thing he could feel along with sadness and anger. Theodore's anger was seemingly toward himself rather than whoever has managed to upset him. He could practically feel his twin's heartbreak into two as he could hear the echo of his brother's broken yet angry cries through their bond, making his heart clench in helplessness. Edgar felt completely shaken up and was finding it difficult not to get overwhelmed.

It hurt to know his twin was hurting emotionally and he wasn't there to even be a comfort. But he knew there could only be one reason why Theodore was suddenly breaking down into tears. He knew Theodore enough to know how his twin would out on a brave face during situations where he is unable to but this particular thing must have really pushed Theodore to the point of crying when neither of them cried in years.

"Theo, can you hear me? What's the matter?" Edgar tried to speak to his twin through their private link but all he could hear back was his brother continuing to cry. "I can't help if I don't know, Theodore. What the fuck happened while I was gone?!" He attempted once more and gained nothing he could understand as an answer. Edgar closed his eyes and sighed out a frustrated breath of air. Theodore's erratic emotions were starting to affect him as well.

The Dragon King didn't seem to notice tears streaming down his own cheeks as he soon found himself lost in a trance of emotions that were not his own. His green eyes were dazed and seemingly lost in his mind, not noticing Kol was standing in front of him with a concerned expression.

The original stood put form where he sat out of concern for the sudden sight of tears. "What's wrong, love? Why are you crying?" Kol carefully asked in confusion, standing in front of the dark-haired male. The original eyed the spaced out male and noticed how the male was seemingly staring in a certain direction as if someone was there. Edgar had stopped speaking all of a sudden before the tears started pouring down. Kol wasn't sure what exactly triggered the male to cry but he couldn't just sit there without attempting to comfort him in some way. But the problem was Kol didn't know what he could do as he wasn't the most affectionate type in past relationships or more like past flings. His only aim at the time was for blood, sex, information, or just for the hell of it. But at the moment none of those were options.

Kol somewhat timidly cupped Edgar's cheeks and gentleness, the Dragon did not think he had and wiped away Edgar's tears. The vampire connected gazes with the puffy-eyed male. "Edgar, it may not be much but I am here. It truly hurts me to see you cry." Kol couldn't comprehend why he felt a pulling of sorts to comfort one of the men who blocked his memories and bluntly lied to him for many years. It was unbelievable that he could even stand being in his presence, no matter how calm he felt when he was around either one of the twins.

"I-it's Theodore," Edgar spoke quietly, looking down instead of making direct eye contact. "I can feel all the chaotic emotions running through him and they are causing him to break down. The weight of his emotions at this very moment is so heavy and I can't even process them fast enough. I can't even imagine how he managed to keep it all together until the last possible moment. I just-." Edgar cut himself off and sharply inhaled. His guilty conscience was reading its ugly head and making him feel even worse than he already did. "It's all my fault. I shouldn't have left him to deal with Klaus alone when we both know how difficult he is but no I chose to take the easy way out as usual." Edgar stated so bitterly with a sour expression as if it left a mad taste in his mouth, his fists clenched in anger at himself.
