Alone

Chapter 3

        The next day she arrives in her first period and Dylan is there. He had a schedule change and appears to be just as happy to see her as she is him. She forces someone to move so they can sit together. They just talked for about 15 minutes but it seemed like a minute to them. Almost upon class time she sees Destiny. She didn’t walk with her today.  This was the first time since they met that they didn’t walk together. As Destiny sees her she asks why they didn’t walk together. She just says she was talking to Dylan and Destiny gives her a smirk. Clara denies any interest despite her obvious feelings towards Dylan. The bell rings and they both take their seats. Mr. Lockherd was giving a terribly boring lesson when Dylan gives Clara an amusing note. Clara laughs and almost gets in trouble. After a period of passing notes Dylan finally asks her to sit with him at lunch. She agrees under the condition that Destiny goes with him. At lunch it was an all out flirt-fest between Clara and Dylan. Destiny couldn’t help but be a third wheel to the two.  Weeks pass and their relationship strengthens. She still cuts herself everyday but she is overall more happy. After their third week together Dylan finally asks her out. She put a sweet note in her locker that says,”Most people like to watch the Olympics, because they only happen once every 4 years, but I'd rather talk to you cause the chance of meeting someone so special only happens once in a lifetime.” She finally lets him see her blush and she says yes.
