Jeongin sat in his desk chair, his bones aching and shirt's collar riding high on his neck to cover up any marks that could possibly expose him to anyone that cared to look close enough.
"Jeongin," Soyeon called from the table she was sitting at, her eyes picking at every flaw she spotted on her camera, "could you pass me the nail clipper from Seoho's desk? He's the one sitting to your left."
The room was empty besides the two of them, Jeongin rolling over in his chair and pulling open the Man's desk drawer. He grimaced once He discovered something He most definitely shouldn't have observed, a picture of the other woman he worked with blatantly lying against the surface of his drawer. He scampered to grab the nail clipper, shoving the drawer back into place in a haste push.
God, is He a stalker?
"I haven't really gotten to talk to you much, Jeongin," His boss murmured, taking the nail clipper from the Boy's hand once He leaned over, "Tell me about yourself."
Jeongin rolled closer, leaning on one of his hands, "Well, I just turned twenty-one," He started off, "There really isn't much to know about me," He laughed, "I'm quite boring."
"Do you have a girlfriend yet?" The woman purred, twirling her bronze hair between her fingers, "If so who's the lucky lady? I'd love to hear everything about her."
Jeongin chuckled nervously, ruffling the back of his hair, "I am taken," He awkwardly stated, "It just isn't working out."
Soyeon frowned, tilting her head to the side, "Oh, that must really not feel good, Love," She sighed, "Have you broken up with her yet?" She prodded, "It's best to just break up with them right away instead of waiting."
Jeongin shook his head, "I haven't yet, But I think she's getting the hint since I'm not answering her calls, "
"Ah, don't do that," The woman hit the boy on the forearm, "Don't be such a pussy, just text her a quick message explaining everything and that you'll take her out to dinner to talk in person. It hurts people if you act like that."
"You're right, You're right," Jeongin chuckled, sliding his phone out of his pocket, "Could I text her right now?" He pondered aloud.
Soyeon laughed in a bubbly manner, the creases underneath her eyelids deepening, "Of course, You're on a break right now either way." She waved off.
"Thank you," Jeongin beamed as He typed away on his phone, "This means a lot to me."
"Don't sweat it, newbie, just find someone good for you." Soyeon murmured, holding up one finger, "One exception, you have to go drinking with me tonight and treat me."
"Will do."
Chris yanked on the ends of his hair, his eyes skimming over Jeongin's room. They landed on the computer that sat on his desk, opening it. He scrolled through the tabs, scrolling through document after document.
It was surprising the device still worked, a crack lining right down the middle of it in a vertical fashion.
He spotted one document that caught his eyes, a small smile twisting upon his lips. Cooing mindlessly as He read it.
'Please, could you hold me through the night
put your lips all over my salty face when I start to cry
You were my first time,
make me not want to die, love me rough and let me fly.'
He quit right there, peering up at the date that displayed at the top of the page. It was from just that morning, the Man's heart-swelling upon the realization that it could have been about him from everything Jeongin had said the previous night. The boy had left sometime in the late morning to get ready for work, and He must have typed it as soon as He got into his room based on the time.
