Jeongin's cab rolled onto his street, the dim light of the then dusk setting making everything eerily silent as everyone was locked away in their homes. He slammed down his money on the center council, rushing out of the vehicle without repulsing.
He sprinted up the stairs, surpassing the entrance in a jiffy. He swung it open only to be knocked down by Kibum, hastily getting up to his feet and pushing past him roughly, "Will you be more careful?" He chastised as He held onto his own shoulder.
Kibum giggled, squirming around as the Boy started up the stairs, "You should be the one to watch where you're going."
Jeongin gradually turned back to him, "What?" He stepped down, the soles of his shoes tapping against the cement steps. He eventually stopped, standing guard above him.
"Jeongin," Kibum held his palm over his lips, silencing his cackles.
"What?" Jeongin quipped back, his eyebrows furrowed.
Kibum glimpsed down at his hand as if He were reading a speech off of it, "You know this is all because of you, don't you?"
"Fuck you..." Jeongin pivoted, making his way up the stairs once again.
Kibum's voice deepened, his tone menacing, "I am talking to you."
Jeongin ceased his actions, not even turning back, "What is it that you want?"
Kibum stood in silence, "Are you," His eyes narrowed, breaking out into a burst of shaky laughter, "Making a mock out of, out of me?"
Jeongin huffed, "Talk clearly so I can understand you if you want me to care!" He lashed out at him, turning to face him, "You're just talking nonsense."
Kibum's face showed no emotion once He stared at him, a dull smile tugging at his lips, "I was just kidding." He said as Jeongin began once against up the rest of the stairwell, "No need to be so serious!" His voice became shrill as if He were trying to warn him, "The new guys up on the roof as well!"
Jeongin made his way through the studio and up the stairs that run to the roof, nudging open the door. He didn't spot Hyunjin anywhere, making his way towards the railing.
"Hey."
Jeongin jumped, Hyunjin's fingertips tracing against his hand, "You startled me! Oh my god-"
Hyunjin bowed, "I'm so sorry." He apologized, "That guy with the long hair-" He pointed at his so head of hair, "Chris! He was up here- I'm not sure if He left."
"Are you not hurt?" Jeongin reached for his arm, examining him.
"No."
"Did anything happen, Hyunjin?"
"No," Hyunjin started, placing his hands on his hips, "but I found something interesting in my room."
Jeongin shook his head, pulling away and mimicking his movements, "Can you just lie low or not do anything?"
"I didn't do anything," Hyunjin dug into his pockets, pulling out a wallet. He showed it to the Boy, unfolding it, "Do you know if a Seungmin Kim used to live in my room?"
"Hold on..." Jeongin snatched it, sliding the identity card out of its protective casing and holding it up to his eyes, "I believe I've seen him on the news."
Hyunjin snatched the wallet once again, "I went to my room and..." He shoved it into his pocket, "It was on the floor underneath my desk."
"It was?"
"It was and it also struck me as sort of weird because usually, those who lose their wallets search for it, especially when there's so much money left in it, Jeongin..." Hyunjin stated, "I looked him up on my phone and He went missing, one of the first disappearances for this part of Seoul."
