The police car that had zoomed by Jeongin was the one Felix had been traveling in.
The male strode onto the crime scene, fixing his uniform.
"So, the surveillance footage is nowhere to be seen?" Felix hissed out, holding his head in his hands, "Nonsense."
"It caught nothing but Wooyeop laying here." A man murmured, standing above the caution tape around the mess, "We didn't find a syringe." He grumbled, "But there was a needle wound on Wooyeop's throat."
"Mister," Felix urged forward, taking hold of his sleeve, "Who are you exactly?"
He stifled a laugh, "I'm Detective Kim," He smiled warmly, "But you can call me Hongjoong if you'd like. I hate being formal."
Felix nodded, rolling the name off of his tongue a few times, "Hongjoong, Did you find the needle?" He pondered, taking glimpses around, "Did anyone find one?"
"It wasn't here," Kirana responded, "But apparently-"
"Wait, excuse me," Felix cut her off, "Will we be able to find out what drugs were used? And if there were any specific shipments to any places?" He pondered, clicking his tongue.
Hongjoong's eyebrows lifted, "Do you already have a clue on who it could be?" He crossed his arms, "I heard from Chenle already that you found a needle a while ago, but he didn't tell me much."
"Jugyeom studio." Felix answered, humming, "I believe this all traces down to that particular building."
"If we find the same drugs, then I will check," He groaned, trailing off, "But..."
Felix moaned, "But what?" He snapped, shaking his head, "We can't stand around and do nothing!" He pointed down towards the blood, "That's our fault for not stressing this investigation enough. Countless more will die if we aren't fast enough!"
"Yes," Hongjoong drearily rubbed at his eyes, "I will check soon."
"What if we aren't fast enough, and they're killing another?" Felix blurted out, "We have to act fast!"
He tugged at his hair, "Don't you see me working?" He shouted, "We're doing the best we can as of now. Go back to your station and be patient."
Kirana reached for Felix's hand, tugging him towards the door, "Let's get going." She breathed.
"Wait-" Felix faltered.
"We're leaving." Kirana shot back, jerking him out of the room forcefully. "You need to stop and take a deep breath..."
"Someone's going to get killed next..." Felix whimpered, "I just know it."
And he was right.
"Help me." Hyunjin cried, his mouth agape and dripping with blood.
The room was dark, dreary. It filled with the musk of sweat and blood.
"You wanted to know why I am doing this..." Chris chuckled, slicing through his muscle with little struggle, "What happened to Seungmin. Who used to live in your room..."
Hyunjin sobbed, gasping for air as his eyes rolled back from strain, "Save me-"
Chris dug into his bicep until he hit the bone, twisting the blade and smiling as he screamed out in agony, "You'll be beside them soon," He glanced over at a bracelet, bones stringing from it. He let out a brief snort, turning his attention back to the male, "You'll be apart of my present."
Hyunjin attempted to struggle against the restraints, gushes of blood spilling down his bare skin, "Save me," He pleaded with him, falling limp. Sweat beaded on his forehead and rolled down his cheeks. "Fuck, Stop!" He screamed out as Chris pushed the knife further, bending it underneath his bone, "Stop!"
