"...There's been a disappearance downtown; A Detective by the name of Kim Woojin. He has been untraceable by Eleven A.M two mornings ago. If you have spotted the male at all, contact the police immediately.."

Lee Felix straightened in his seat, his eyes bolting to the television screen, scanning the text that appeared as the announcer spoke.

Tragic.

"Do you hear that, Kirana?" He pondered aloud, turning in his chair to face the lady who sat next to him, "There's been another disappearance. And it's Woojin." He saw the Woman immediately freeze, slowly turning towards him.

"But He's our only detective for this district." She cleared her throat, shaking her head deliberately, "We can't hire a new one yet- they cost so much. Maybe he's just working on a case? He gets like this sometimes." Her tone was hopeful towards the end, yet strained.

"I've been working on the cases for a while now, and He hasn't done a single thing except work on the disappearing people cases; which, He kept to himself," Felix cracked his knuckles, sweeping his fingers through his pale auburn hair, "and they're too frequent to keep up with, Kirana. Especially since we haven't caught that person on Ssan Avenue who has been killing all of those cats."

Kirana inwardly groaned, tilting her head back to look at the ceiling, "Have you asked any other officers to help you?" She asked, her triangular-shaped eyes narrowing, "Officer Lee and Officer Toronto can help you; I'm sure of it-"

The male merely shook his head, swiping his tongue over his bottom lip, "They're bums... Plus I can do this on my own." He stated, leaning forward in his chair, "I already have some suspects.."

Jeongin walked down the narrow halls, his shoes clacking against the cement.

He had just gotten off work, too long of a day to think straight. He stopped mid-step, though, his foot wavering in mid-air.

A young boy leaned against the wall, a lit cigarette tugging down his lips, breathing out heavy clouds. His gaze met Jeongin's, letting out a high pitched giggle, "Oh, You're the new guy!" He scrambled over, throwing the cigarette down onto the floor and snuffing it out, hopping up and down on his heels.

He was quite obviously mentally ill, giggling every few seconds, his eyes narrow and cheeks puffy, strangely adorable, Giving off the vibe of a child. He wasn't much more than sixteen in looks, either way, a kid in Jeongin's mind.

Jeongin reached his hand out for the twentieth time that day, gently taking the male's hand in his, "Hello, yes, I am the new guy," He smiled faintly, shaking his hand, "I'm Jeongin, and you are?"

He cupped his other hand around Jeongin's hand, swaying from left to right, "I'm Kibum!" He said as He unclasped their hands, bringing one of them back to his mouth, covering his lips, "Why did you move here?"

"I'm saving up money for a better apartment, and my job is just a few minutes away from here," Jeongin spoke clearly, straightening his posture.

"Have you heard about the cats?"

Jeongin stiffened the slightest bit, flicking an eyebrow up, "No, What about them?"

"Oh," Kibum giggled, stepping down onto the floor in a figure-eight pattern, "they've just been disappearing that's it." He stated as if it were the most normal thing, turning around and stumbling down the hall.

"Weird..." Jeongin breathed out, thinking about what the male had said for the next hour. It stood out in his mind somehow. I mean, who would mention that?

He had gone to his room, and it made him feel horrendous. All cooped up and stuff.

It drove him insane.
