"You always say that," I laughed.

"But I really do." I started blushing. "And you're really the only person in this town so far that has treated me at least a little decent." I smiled widely. He ruffled my hair; something my dad would do. He stood up off of the floor. He extended a hand to me and I took it. "Do you want to go now?" He questioned. I nodded.

"I really hope you don't mind, but I need to put them to bed," I said.

"No problem." He started to squirm a little in his jacket, then took it off.

"Hey!" I yelled to Kaiden and Roxy, who were making quite obnoxious car sounds. They both stopped what they were doing and looked towards me. "Time for bed. Clean your Lego up first and i'll tuck you in." I asserted kindly. They walked out from the hall and started picking up stray lego pieces around the room. They shut the plastic bucket filled with lego and tucked it away beside their large wooden toy box. Roxy begged to be carried up the stairs so I threw her over one shoulder and Kaiden followed behind us. I got to the top of the stairs and realized that Michael was waiting at the bottom. "You can come upstairs if you want." I offered, spinning around. "You look a little awkward standing alone and i'll be another ten minutes," I added.

"Alright," He laughed and ran up the stairs. It sounded like he had a ton of change by the loud clinking noises coming from his pockets when he ran. I walked into their bedroom and threw Roxy onto her bed. She started laughing and so did I.

"Okay, put your pyjamas on and i'll come back in a second." I shut their door and turned to face Michael. He was smiling. "What is it?"

"Oh, nothing." He brushed it off. He took out his phone and started texting someone. "Luke says that a lot of people are starting to show up." He told, without taking his eyes off of his phone. I nodded. Roxy opened the door and ran back over to her bed. Kaiden was already lying in bed. I first walked over to Kaidens bed and pulled the blankets up to his neck. I kissed his forehead then walked on my knees over to Roxy's bed. I pulled the blanket up halfway and kissed her forehead as well.

"Goodnight, don't let the bed bugs bite." I felt dumb saying that in front of Michael, but it's a bedtime tradition in my house so it slipped out of my mouth before I could stop myself. I flicked on a small light on their dresser that projected shapes onto their ceiling because both of them are still scared of the dark. I guided the doorknob slowly to make the door shut with no sound. "I just want to get my wallet, one second." I walked down the hall and into my bedroom. I flicked on the light and dug around in my closet for a second before I could find it. I turned around and realized that Michael was standing in the door. My face dropped. "My room is disgusting. I am so sorry," I laughed, motioning to the plates and dirty laundry that littered the floor.

"Mines worse, believe me." He walked in a little further and knelt down beside two medium sized cardboard boxes filled with CD's and Records. I realized that my bra was hanging on my dresser knob right beside him. I ran over and discretely grabbed it off of the knob and threw it to the other side of my bed. "Hey, this is cool," He stated happily. He dug through the boxes and pulled out a few CD's. "How the hell did you find these?" He asked holding them up.

"They're my Dad's."

"I've been looking for these forever," He said excitedly. "Mind if I borrow them?"

"Go for it." I shrugged. I knew that borrowing, in his mind, would mean that he would be keeping them, but my Dad never seemed to care enough for them since they've been sitting in my bedroom for the last year and a half so it didn't really matter.

"Thanks," He said smacking the cases against his hand gently. He stood up and pushed the box back into it's original spot with his foot. I pushed him out of my room hoping that he didn't notice that my underwear drawer was wide open. I flicked off the light and went into my moms room.
