15: Darkest Moments.

The whole atmosphere of Abuja city was as dull as a ditch-water.
You could tell that the day time was in the morning, but this time around the whole place was more quiet as usual.
As if the earth was mourning for what had happened to Simone.

Alhaji was about leaving for work, when his phone began to beep.

When Alhaji saw that it was Simone's phone number, he immediately turned his phone off.
The man that could do anything for this young lady but now hated her like poop.

Alhaji walked straight into the Hummer and sat down in the driver's seat.

Dr Wunmi repeatedly placed the Diaphragm of the stethoscope on Simone's Chest.

"Is she fine? Lara asked Dr Wunmi as she stepped out from the ward.

" She's fine, just need to take some rest.

Lara was walking back to the Waiting room, when Dr Wunmi called out her name:

"Ok, Lara replied and walked behind her as they walked into the office.

Lara was seated, so paranoid waiting patiently to hear what the doctor had to say.

" Due to the unfortunate incident that has happened to your friend, I am sorry to announce to you that you that she has been diagnosed with a first degree Recta-vaginal tear. but her pregnancy still remain intact.

Lara burst into tears, She couldn't believe her ears, as she told the doctor to repeat the statement.
She burst into tears.

She silently walked out of the office with all her face drenched with tears.

Amira was in the taxi straightaway to the hospital, so much fear and sadness was in her, nothing should happen to Simone.
She constantly worried.

Amira said to the driver to signal him of where she will highlight.

She hurriedly picks up the basket of Food and left the car.

She crossed the streets watchfully, waiting for each cars pass by till there was none in a close view.

Tears dropped from her eyes drenching her whole dress.
"Nothing must happened, to my daughter ....
While she walked into the Hospital premises, she reminisces the Emotional moment Hamza entrusted Simone to her hands.

Flashback.

Hamza was coughing continuously complaining of the cold, as Amira ran to him severally to give him water and massaged his chest with an ointment.

"Amira, Simoney is the only child I have left here on earth, treat her as mine, he kept repeating his words."

When Amira had finished cleaning him up and was about leaving for the cob kitchen, Hamza called her back and said: Kula da 'yata.
