"Hi, I'm Blaine!"

Kurt turns to face a gelled haired boy. Being in Dalton Academy's principal's office already gave him chills even if he knew he wasn't in trouble so the sudden giggly tone caused him to tighten his grip on the two brown suitcases.

"I'm here to show you around school!"

The same boy spoke like some character from My Little Pony. It was so different from what Kurt was used to. It almost sounded gross.

After a while, Blaine realized Kurt wasn't going to answer. "Um... Follow me?"

Blaine led Kurt through the halls, telling him brief history that Kurt wasn't really listening to.  Founded in 19 something by Mr. somebody that nobody cares about. Soon, they were at the Dalton Dorms.

"So... I don't know if you heard, but I'm your roommate." Blaine said turning a key which made a clicking sound, singnaling he'd unlocked the the door. "This is our dorm."

Kurt followed Blaine inside and sat on one of the two beds. Kurt slid his bags to the far right of his bed. He proceeded to plug his phone in first, and then check out the bathroom.

Again, Blaine was explaining everything like it was the latest Teen Vogue Magazine. Needless to say, it wasn't that interesting.

"So there's two sinks, two showers, two bathrooms and two cabinets. You should be able to fit your stuff in there but if not, I'm willing to share."

He smiles again. Kurt again neglects to respond to him leaving the shorter boy a little disappointed. He'd heard Kurt's story, and simply wanted to help.

He thought it had to have been hard, all the bullying. Although at the same time, Blaine couldn't blame him. Who's to say this place won't be the same? Bullies find ways around rules all the time.

Blaine had volunteered to be Kurt's roommate, being the only one who really knew what Kurt had been through. A knock on the door snapped him out of his thoughts, and Kurt away from his own.

"Blaine? Warbler Practice starts very soon and Wes said we couldn't be late again!"

Again? Kurt thought.

It was Nick, Blaine's best friend. He opened the door, revealing Kurt. Nick immediately went over to give the same cheerful welcome.

"Hi! I'm Nick! I'm second head of the Warblers! That's our show choir name!-"

"Calm it, Nick. He just got here." Blaine chuckled.

Kurt sighed wondering why these boys acted like the old him. The Kurt before he came out to a certain someone he'd never mention again. The Kurt that was always so happy... So...

Gay...

"Well, as you've heard..." Blaine said in an attempt to get Nick to turn his gaze. "We have to run to practice. Did you want to come with us and see if you'd like to try out?"

Kurt quickly shook his head. "No, I think I'd better stay and unpack."

After the boys left, Kurt began putting his clothes away. There were two dressers, he figured one was for him. He pulled open the first drawer to find a shit load of hair gel and a picture of Kurt's favorite commercial star.

He began to wonder why that was there and then realized he had opened the wrong dresser. Blushing profusely, he shut the drawers quickly. That didn't stop him from wondering why what looked like a commercial screenshot was hiding in his drawers.

Kurt pulled out a small black bag and put it to the far back of his drawer, under all the blazers and dress pants. He made sure no one was around to see it.

After that, he grabbed his second bag which contained his hair products and skincare care materials. Surprisingly, they all fit perfectly in the cabinet leaving him with one last thing to unpack.

He was in the middle of placing a picture of him and his brother, Finn, on the nightstand when Blaine walked in through their door.

He was arriving a few hours later than Kurt thought. The gelled boy, visibly upset about something, grabbed an outfit in a somewhat angry matter.

Kurt was going to ask what was wrong before Blaine shut himself in the bathroom and hopped in the shower. It was just as well, Kurt wasn't much of a 'help everybody stop being depressed kid' anyway. Still, it did concern him seeing as his behavior was completely different from before.

Small trigger warning! Self harm mentioned! Please go back and reread the beginning of this story if you choose to continue. I don't do this for my other stories but I've seen it a lot on stories like these recently and it kind of scared me.

Kurt pulled out the small black bag once again, and unzipped it. Thus revealing a few small blades. He picked one up and pushed it against his arm. Just as the skin was beginning to break, the water in the bathroom shut off causing Kurt to quickly put it all away.

End of trigger.

Blaine exited the bathroom and got under the blankets in his bed. Kurt thought it was a bit early to be going to bed but he didn't want to anger Blaine so he quickly turned off the light.

Kurt didn't sleep that night. It was physically impossible because he was next to a stranger. Someone he didn't know. He also knew he would end up screaming in his sleep due to a reoccurring dream, making Blaine even more mad.

He didn't want to ruin things with his roommate on the first night, so when he knew Blaine was asleep, he grabbed his flash light and read his book under the covers.

That happened... Who's hungry? Lol Darren Criss
