we had set up camp in the forest after we patched up the man that i came to know as Qrow or Rubys uncle. as he started speaking of a person named Salem and how she controlled the Grimm and such and how she was a threat to this world. when he was done he asked.

Qrow: really? no questions?

Jane: of course we have questions. this is just... a lot to take in.

Qrow: sure of course.

Ruby: so these maidens they are powerful fighters that don't need dust to use magic?

Qrow: yeah

Nora: and there are four of them?

Qrow: yup. always.

Ren: which means that whenever one of them dies. the power transfers to someone - a female - that they care about?

Qrow: whoever was in their thoughts last. important distinction. the best option is someone we can trust. regardless their souls become combined in a way.

i noticed lord Onac tense a bit before calming down

Jane: And that's what you were going to do to Pyrrha. the night the tower fell. you were trying to turn her into one of them.

Qrow: the previous fall maiden, Amber, had been attacked she was young inexperienced. and her assailant wich we know as Cinder, somehow managed to steal some of her power, but not all of it. we were afraid that if we didn't do somthing the rest would go to her as well.

Jane: so you forced it on Pyrrha.

Qrow: we didn't force anything. we explained the situation and gave her a choice, and she chose. you were there, you heard her.

Jane stood up and left the campfire. 

Ojama: it doesn't sound like a choice, hell if you put it that way a commissar will always give you a choice when he orders you to an attack.

Qrow looked a bit down at that.

Ruby: that guy Tyrian why was he after us?

Qrow: well you painted a target on your back with what you did at Beacon. i told you having silver eyes was a rare trait. and the fact your someone able to use them. seem to have upset some powerful people. not many know about silver eyes, those that do aren't happy that one has surfaced. that's why i have been keeping an eye on you. in order to make sure you were safe. all of you.

Ruby: well then why not just travel with us, like team SHOK? it seems that would have been way easier.

Jane: he was using you as bait.

Qrow: look i wouldn't put it like that; its... complicated.

Jane: what is all of this? Ruby is being hunted the schools are being attacked, all for what? what is the point of all of this? will you just tell us what's going on!?

Qrow: would you sit down? you're stressing me out, kid. not many people are so religious these days.

he started to explain how there were two brother ''gods'' how they created humanity and how they gave us four relics before they left this world and that these relics were powerful, the academies were designed to act like fortresses to protect the relics. i think i heard lords Onac and Soros whispering with each other before Jane asked.

Jane: why doesn't the world know? why isn't Atlas going after them or Mistral?

Nora: why aren't we in more of a hurry to get to Haven? shouldn't we warn them?

lord Onac: as most of team SHOK can tell you by experience it is better that only a select few know of this. after all, ignorance is bliss. 

Qrow: the headmaster over there saw what happened to Beacon, he is not stupid he will be on guard. besides, it takes time to mobilise forces like that. do you really think they planned out that attack on Beacon overnight?

Kaz ticked me on the shoulder and wanted me to follow him when i did we regrouped with lords Onac and Soros to 'discuss' this. it was more watching as the Astartes discuss it.

Onac: still believe in this 'truth' of yours Astarte

Soros: well the 'relics' are clearly arceotech maybe even from the dark age of technology. besides wouldn't these 'gods' be considered 'heresy' to you?

Onac: not really this brother light is clearly the emperor.

Soros: and this brother dark?

Onac: probably chaos, but with some reconditioning here and there they will be on the right path.

Soros: and these maidens i saw you get tense? what about them.

Onac: probably demonic possession with the demons being under partial control, they will be purged swiftly.
