thought of the day:  I've made more mistakes than any man, woman, and child on this planet.

location: Mistral

pov Ojama

when we calmed Nora down and both Astartes got dressed we returned to the issue at hand that is Oscar and or Ozpin.

Ojama: knife ears, lord Onac can you check if he's telling the truth?

knife ears: he is i already checked he has two souls in him.

i looked at lord Onac to see a bit of frost starting to form on his mask.

Onac: she is right, two souls but it's different from demonic possession.

Soros: how so?

Onac: with a possession, both souls will fight over the body for who is in control. here they are co-existing together but there is an unknown tether connecting the souls.

Qrow: ahem, we need to have a talk. mind showing us your parlour trick, kid?

Oscar: yeah okay just so you know I'll still be here.

he seemed to concentrate before a green flash ran over him.

Oscar?: it's so very good to see you, students.

everyone looked confused except for the Eldar and lord Onac who seemed to be interested in something.

Jane: wait what just happened?

Ren: professor... Ozpin?

Ozpin: Correct. And though I may be the one speaking, Oscar is still present mentally. He's merely handed over the control, so to speak. I'm afraid this all must be very perplexing.

Nora: And alarming, and bizarre, and just really kind of hard to believe overall!

Ozpin: It's good to see you children still have your sense of humour. I know you've all been through tremendous hardship already. I'm sorry.

Ruby: I mean, it's not your fault.

Ozpin: It's all my fault. i told you once that I made more mistakes than any man, woman, and child on this planet, and I wasn't exaggerating. I'm... cursed. For thousands of years, I've walked the surface of Remnant, living, dying, and reincarnating in the body of a like-minded soul. The Professor Ozpin you all met was not my first form and clearly wasn't my last. It's... an extraordinarily strenuous process on everyone involved.

Jane: So who... what... are you?

Ozpin: I am the combination of countless men who've spent their lives trying to protect the people of Remnant. With every rebirth, my soul is eventually merged with another and I am changed, but my memories stay with me. This curse was bestowed upon me by the gods because I failed to stop Salem in the past. But we must stop her now.

Ruby: And how do we do that?

Ozpin: We start... by ensuring the safety of the relic of knowledge.

Nora zipped around Ozpin while saying

Nora: This is perfect! We were stuck at a dead end, but now, we can just take little cute boy Ozpin to Lionheart and have him set things straight!

Ozpin: Please don't call me that.

Qrow: We're not sure that's the best idea.

Nora pouts and groans and goes back to sit down next to Ruby and Ren.

Ren: But I thought the headmasters all took their orders from you.

Ozpin: That was the intention. Four lieutenants, I can trust, especially during times of reincarnation. But Qrow told me about your meeting with Leonardo. He isn't just behaving irrationally, he's disobeying specific instructions I had left him. Something's wrong. I don't want to jump to conclusions, but I don't want to rule out any possibilities, either. No one outside of this room knows that I've paired with Oscar, and I think it may be best to keep it that way.

Qrow: Play things close to the chest until we get a better hand.

Ozpin: Precisely. Now, we have two steps ahead of us. The first is enlisting the aid of more Huntsmen.

Ren: But the Mistral council--

Qrow: Doesn't own every Huntsman in the Kingdom, and I've been here enough times to know where we can find some more.

Ozpin: So long as they're trustworthy.

Qrow: You can trust them to put up a good fight. I'll throw together a list tonight.

i was confused so i decided to ask

Ojama: why do we need huntsmen?

knife ears: right you imperials found it more important to train then to see the headmaster. to put it simply a bandit group has the spring maiden.

Onac: number of the bandits?

Qrow: 50 so were outnumbered and need more people to level the playing field.

at that, both Hurk and Kaz started to laugh as lords Soros and Onac let out a dark chuckle and i started to grin in an attempt to hold it.

Qrow: what's so funny?

knife ears: to put it in perspective if we are being nice for the bandits two Astartes could wipe them out, combined with the support of three guardsmen, a farseer and a couple of huntsmen. we will have the advantage.

Ozpin: martyrdom rate?

Onac: as long as you all are competent enough it should be 0.

Ozpin: and for the bandits?

knife ears: 49 assuming the maiden is a bandit.

Ruby: martyrdom rate?

Qrow: their way of saying casualties. we are going to arrest them not kill them and we will be using huntsmen.

Onac: fine but i am staying with you till the maiden is secured.

Ruby: why?

Onac: when she is secured i will escort her to Mantle were Jaunes forces can put her in custody. that will ensure the safety of the relic.
