the rest of the day went by smoothly. Amelia got settled in during the next two weeks, she discovered that her and milli both shared a love for anime and art, they had had a studio ghibli marathon on the Friday after Amelia's first week. She had told milli that she was pansexual and milli had excepted her.

Amelia said hi to Robin every day and Amelia could have sworn that their gaze got softer everyday, she almost thought she herd a quiet "hello" back today. she had studied them an had found herself mesmerized by them, and against her will, she had gotten a crush on them. that Mike boy hadn't done anything ether.

the two girls sat at their lunch table, discussing a new anime that Milli had discovered.

Amelia was wearing a rainbow striped crop top and light wash mom Jean's, while milli was wearing a pink poofy dress, the two girls looked like they were supposed to be friends, they both wore colorful clothing and had the same interests, Milli tended to be more extreme about it though.

Amelia was lost in a conversation about some new anime boy that Mille was into when she saw someone enter the cafeteria, it was Mike and he looked angry. Mike stormed over to the girls table.

"why are you still talking to Robin, I thought i told you to stay away from them. you better back off or this is gonna end badly!", yelled Mike, he really wanted Robin to be alone, huh.

"ya'know, i don't thing I will, Robin is my friend", replied Amelia stubbornly.

"friend!?, Robin doesn't have friends!", yelled mike, anger was boiling up in Amelia in return.

Amelia was about to respond when something pulled Mike back from the table. it was Robin and they looked pissed. Mike stumbled back, when he regained his balance, he pushed Robin.

"what the fuck did you do that for!", yelled Mike at Robin.

"leave Amelia alone", Robin growled lowly.

"what was that Rachel, i couldn't hear you from underneath all that self-hatred!", yelled Mike, he was obviously trying to provoke Robin and Amelia didn't like where this was going.

At hearing the name, Robin got visibly more enraged.

"i said, leave her the fuck alone!", yelled Robin as they fake lunged at Mike.

mike backed up, he looked scared and took a few steps back before completely running out of the cafeteria. Milli had been watching the whole thing in shock, she got up and ran away from the table, apparently she too was scared of Robin. Amelia looked up at Robin, they had their eyes on the door where Mike had run out. they turned their gaze to Amelia and sat down in front of her, where Milli had been sitting moments ago.

"Are you ok?", asked Robin though their teeth, the stressed tone of voice made Amelia aware that the entire cafeteria was starring at the two of them.

Amelia had never been fond of attention, this didn't make her feel that comfortable. she stood up and grabbed Robin's wrist, she started walking out of the cafeteria pulling Robin behind her. she could feel that they were following her which gave her a bit of comfort. Amelia continued walking and only stopped when she saw the front doors, she hadn't realized how far she had gotten. Amelia let go of Robin's wrist, she had forgotten that she was holding it. she turned to see Robin behind her, they looked confused and a bit uncomfortable, but it was obvious that they were trying to hide it under their usual stone faced demeanor. they raised their hand and scratched the back of their head while they looked away from her. Amelia looked down.

"I'm sorry-, I'm sorry for pulling you out of there like that", said Amelia stuttering a bit and looking to the side.

"its, um, it's ok, i wanted to leave anyway, but um are you ok?", said Robin, they sounded awkward but concerned, Amelia could see that the awkwardness was because Robin didn't often speak to people.

"yea-yeah, I'm ok. are you?" asked Amelia, she felt a bit shook up and it showed in her shaky voice.

both of them looked away from each other, it was silent until Amelia remembered something.

"why, why did you help me?", asked Amilia, looking back up at Robin.

Robin snapped their gaze back to her, their eyes darted down her body and up again before turning away again.

"I-I helped you because um... um because were friends, right?", said Robin, the awkward in their voice was gone but it was uncertain.

"yeah", answered Amelia, something in her chest lightened at hearing that Robin considered her a friend.

the uncertainty faded from Robin's face when Amelia smiled at them. they didn't know why this girl had decided to befriend them but they sure were glad she did, it had been such a long time sense they had had a friend.

"wanna hang?", asked Amelia. she had finally gotten though to the famously scary Robin fenrisen.

"no, no thats not a good idea", answered Robin, something about the question had made them defensive, they took a few steps back.

"oh, come on, why not", asked Amelia almost desperately.

"because you could get hurt!", said Robin in a hurried voice that clearly had emotion behind it.

"why?!", asked Amelia, raising her voice.

"because I'm dangerous", yelled Robin, snapping their eyes to glare into hers and taking a fast step towards her.

"I don't care!", yelled Amelia back, holding eye contact and stepping towards Robin so that they were standing almost chest to chest.

Robin glared down at her with unfiltered emotion behind their eyes. In a split second, Amelia felt her back hit the lockers on the wall and she herd the bang of Robin's hand landing next to her head. Amelia looked into their eyes and for the first time sense she met them, she felt like she might have a reason to be scared.

"are you really, sure you wanna do this", growled Robin, their voice was cold and threatening.

Amelia looked at them, the fear drained from her when she saw that even though there was strong emotions behind their eyes, anger wasn't one of them.

"oh, I'm sure", said Amelia with a beckoning tone, tilting her head up as she spoke.

something in their eyes changed when they herd her tone, something else appeared behind them, something that could best be described as hunger.

"oh, really now~?", said Robin with a teasing tone that made a chill tun down Amelia's spine.

Amelia nodded, swallowing her slight shock at the tension that had materialized.

"you know I'm basically a monster right?, so are you really sure?", said Robin in the same tone.

"yes", answered Amelia calmly, looking up into Robin's blue eyes which narrowed in a smile.

Robin leaned in closer to Amelia
"What if I am really as dangerous as they say", winspeared Robin.

Amelia felt a chill run down her spine and settle in her lower stomach.

"I you wont hurt me", said Amelia weakly.

"And why is that~", said Robin.

"Because I'm your friend", answered Amelia firmly.
