You'd light me up,
Inhaling my affection like nicotine.
Every shakey intake,
Sending you higher and higher.
You absorbed our love,
If it was even "love."
That ugly wrapping around us,
Was you.
You made us toxic.
Every puff leaving your lips,
Was a moment together
That you let go into the air,
Like it was nothing.
Like we were nothing.
But you didn't even care.
It didn't phase you in the slightest,
As you kept puffing us out.
After you had wasted us into nothing,
Only meeting your needs,
You dropped everything on the ground,
Stomping it out,
As you laughed and pulled out another one.
I never signed up to be your cigarette.
