We screamed,

So they would hear our voice.

Not just once

But over and over again

Until our lungs lacked oxygen.

Yet they continued to do nothing.

They gave us blank stares

Followed by pitiful smirks.

We found ourselves crying with rage.

When was it our turn to be heard?

They didn't break their silence.

We neared panic

But kept our determination.

They will never stop,

Our message from being heard.
