Y/N POVI introduced the teacher to Adora, we were in World history! My favorite class, but Josie doesn't know that.
I sat in the back as usual and she sat in front of my desk.
The teacher started to talk about the Han dynasty era. Adora honestly looked interested. "So tell me new girl, what do empires need to become, well, empires?" The teacher asked.
I was about to tell Adora the answers, "Trade, money, and a strong army. The basics." Adora answered.
I was shocked, that question is super simple but Adora was super interested in this topic, as if she knew what she was talking about. I smiled, she seems pretty cool.
Josie could never, she hates history, science, everything, I have a passion for a lot of classes, but I have to hide it. Along with my sexuality and my personal life.
I started to doodle on my paper (I know a lot of my readers are fucking artists so don't come for me)
I kind of felt safer with adora. Lets hope that doesn't change.
The teacher started talking about the hans beliefs, etc. Once class ended I got up and walked to Adora. "Hey, that was so cool, did not know you love history." I said.
"Yeah well history is basic since it repeats." Adora responded, oh my god she is a history fanatic, just like me!
"Dude, wanna come over after school? Or are you busy?" I asked.
She turned around to look at me as we walked, "You ARENT scared of the fact that your reputation might be ruined?" She asked with her eyebrow raised.
"Screw reputation." I replied.
She smiled, "Fine. I have nowhere to go anyways." She said giving in. I quietly squealed. "Great! See ya after school in front of the trophy area." I said and walked in to biology. She nodded and walked the other direction.
I sat in the back as usual, Josie is in the same period. "Hey! What's the deal with you and that new girl?!?" She asked. I rolled my eyes, "Were friends now." I said with my eyebrow raised, "You know that she was in the same room with that LGBT club, right?!? It was posted on the blog!" She said.
"Dude, that blog is stupid and is getting in your head!" I pointed out. I played with my pen as I ignored her.
I honestly felt a little confident. I wrote notes in black, the thing is I wrote them in a boring color because I don't want Josie to think I care about school.
After school, I literally study like a maniac. "She is so weird. How can you talk with her?" She asked.
I turned to her, "Maybe if you actually payed attention on something that isn't your reputation, you might notice other people are actually pretty great, just like Adora. She is actually a very honest to god person who doesn't care what others think about her." I replied with anger.
"Well how would you know what she's like? You've only known her for 5 hours!" Josie whispered, raising her voice a little.
"Well then I will have enough time to get to know her AFTER school." I whispered as the bell rang and closed my notebook shut, I put everything in my backpack and got ready to walk out.
She grabbed my shoulder and turned me to face her.
"Why would you hang out with her if you have friends like me?" She asked with anger. "Because it's an embarrassment for you to have a friend like me." I said as I pushed her arm away from me and stormed off.
