It's the first day of school. Midoriya steps onto campus, feeling nervous and determined to learn from pros, especially All Might. He walks into class 1-A and he immediately sees the guy who stopped him from talking to Uraraka telling Bakugou to take his feet off the table. The boy introduces himself as Tenya Iida admits that he misjudged Deku. After talking to Iida and being flustered by Uraraka, their homeroom teacher Aizawa, aka The Erasure Hero: EraserHead, shows up in a sleeping bag. He tells the students to change into their gym uniforms and that they'll be taking a quirk assessment test.

He tells Midoriya to throw a softball as far as he can by using his quirk since he got 1st place in the entrance exam. Midoriya then transforms into his strongest alien, Four-Arms. "How the hell did you do that shitty Deku?! That's not what your quirk is supposed to be!" Bakugou yelled, sparking explosions in his palm. Despite being almost 3 times as big as Katsuki as Four-Arms, he still cowered and prepared to get blasted. Aizawa quickly erased Bakugou's quirk and wrapped him in his capture scarf and said that he might as well expel Bakugou for his behavior before seeing what he was capable of. Then he releases him when he backs down.

Before Deku throws the ball, Aizawa said, "What would happen if you transform back in the middle of battle? You would be nothing but a liability. Someone like you shouldn't have been allowed to enroll in this school. You have the same reckless passion as another hero, but if you can barely save someone without transforming back to normal, then you can't be a hero with that quirk. Now take your throw" Aizawa said sternly. Deku took the words to heart, as he knew that he was right, he couldn't be a true hero if he would just timeout when saving them.Taking a deep breath, Four-Arms Deku threw the ball. 705.3 meters. The class then starts the rest of the test. Bakugou getting a 705.2-meter throw, and Uraraka getting an infinity.

Deku completes the 50-meter dash in 4 seconds by jumping over it, in the grip strength test he breaks the device, in standing long jump he clears the box by a long shot, gets 4th place in the long-distance run, he times out and has to do the repeated side steps, seated toe touch, and sit-ups in normal form.

In the end, he got 4th place, with Mineta in last. Aizawa mostly made the test so that his students could do the assessment feeling like death was on the line, as he feels like that's what every hero should prepare for. Mineta got expelled and was reinstated the next day so he got to experience his first death as a hero. Even after Izuku's results showed how much potential he had, Aizawa still believes that Deku doesn't have much potential with his timeout. Despite this, he knew that once he was able to control his quirk, he surely would be a powerful hero.
