Sapphire began to feel a draft come from the window. She, along with Stephanie, were both back in Hector's apartment, and the window Steph had broken had never been repaired. Sapphire was grateful it wasn't winter yet, as she hadn't bought a jacket, and the whole apartment would be covered in snow if they had come later.

"Could you step back from the window?" Stephanie asked, standing over a safe she had been trying to open, "you're making me paranoid that you might jump."

"Yeah sorry." Sapphire began to take a few steps backwards, "do you think maybe Michael had the same idea as us? To come to this apartment and look for supplies."

"Sapphire, I don't think Michael is thinking anything right now, or at least anything positive." An uncomfortable silence filled the air as Stephanie decided to word her next sentence very carefully "Is it possible that maybe Michael is, you know, dead?"

"What makes you think that?"

"I mean, did you see him when he decapitated Nydia. The guy clearly was not in a good place after Harris's death."

"So he committed suicide!" Sapphire yelled a little but when she said this, with tears in her eyes.

"No, but its very possble that he did something really stupid and got himself killed." As Stephanie finished her statement, Sapphire turned around. Despite turning around, Stephannie could still hear the tears of her only friend.

Stephanie wanted to comfort Sapphire, but she had no idea how, and thus went back to trying to open the safe. After a few seconds, the safe finally opened, and Stephanie smiled for the first time today.

Stephanie walked over to Sapphire and put a hand on her shoulder "hey, tell you what, I just opened up the safe, so why don't I take the money and buy some supplies a town over. After that, we can live here in safety and luxury. Who knows maybe we can even find Trisha."

"Isn't she working with Tim?"

"Yeah Trisha self esteem is way too high to work with that narcissist. Tim was probably lying to try to get us to work with him. Besides, I doubt Trisha would want to go on another adventure right after one killed her mom."

Stephanie began to exit the apartment, but right as she was about to exit she added "Also why don't we find something to fill that hole. I don't want someone to fall."
