"Now where were we?" Dawn asked, "Oh right, I was off to take my place as the new leader of the UPNA." Dawn began to leave the scene, but Tim slammed down on Dawn. Tim punched Dawn at the top of his head, taking part of his head off.
This, of course, did nothing to Dawn. instead of panicking, or even taking a brief pause due to there being that a god was on top of him, Dawn just reached up behind Tim, scratched into his back. Tim had forgotten to fold his wings back after he had slammed down into Dawn, and Dawn took the opportunity to reach his claws inside of Tim's back and separate his wings from his body.
Tim cried out "no, no." and flapped his wings to try to fly away. He couldn't get away though, and he started to fly lop-sidded, until he fell and hit the floor. One of his wings was hanging onto his body by only a few muscles and vessels. Tim took the fetus position, and knew that he would be useless until his wings healed, as his center of balance was now off. As he laid there though, he came up with an idea
Lizzy punched Dawn in the side of the head, hoping that he would be distracted and no longer try to hurt Tim, who was their best bet at getting out of this alive.
Dawn didn't flinch at this punch, and grabbed Lizzy by the neck, and slammed her down. He ripped out a bunch of the organs in Lizzy's stomach, as she screamed out in pain.
And now Angel was the only one left who could fight. She closed her eyes, and hoped that Dawn would not see.
"Open your eyes Angel." Dawn said, and Angel at this point was so scared that she obliged. She looked at his dead eyes without any color, and how his clothes were now the same bright red color of his hair.
As she looked behind Dawn, Angel saw that Tim was no longer there. Tim had left her. Angel would have to fight alone
Angel decided that if Tim could abandon this message, then so could she. She ran through the doors behind her, and tried to think of an escape plan. She ran down the stairs and to the bottom floor. Dawn was rapidly gaining on her, and there was no way she could get out those doors before Dawn would catch up with her. Knowing this, She hid beneath a desk and tried to steady her breathing, and hoped that Dawn would not notice the number on her hand. all the while she heard a noise in her head.
...
Mia let out a sigh of relief as she looked up at the screen. Dawn's heart was no longer beating. Dawn was dead.
She tried to hide her smile while everyone else was rushing around her. There was lots of screaming and panicking, but Mia knew everything was going to be alright.
She calmly paced towards the meeting hall, wondering who would be the new leader. Maybe it could be her. Mia giggled with excitement at the idea of her being the new president; who would've thought that a secret agent of Tim was now leading his archenemy. Of course she would still take orders from Tim, but she still thought there was some irony in it.
"Hey Mia" one of her underlings said, " you know how if anyone came and said 'the plant has sprouted' then what they say is important."
Mia thought back to her training with Tim, with that phrase being the phrase used in emergencies when Tim would need to talk to her, "Yeah, did someone use that code?"
"Yep, and she is in your office right now."
"Thank you." Mia said with her politician smile. Whatever this was, it better be good.
Mia walked into her small office and saw the aforementioned woman in her visitor chair. Mia suspected something was up. The woman's seemed to be wearing make up, which already was weird, as no one had enough time or money to waste time on looking good, but her clothes were ragged and bloody.
"May I ask who you are."
"My name is Tina. I am Tim's sister." The woman said. Mia thought this last last statement explained why she looked so pretty, because if Tim could look that good, then maybe his sister could too. Little did Mia know that Tina was actually Tim.
"May I ask why you're here." Mia asked, she hoped she sounded professional, as she might be speakfing in front of other professionals very soon.
"Well you see, Dawn isn't actually dead."
"What, but his heart monitor."
"Dawn can, I guess, regenerate his heart."
"Well do you have a plan."
Tim/Tina smirked. She had a genius plan.
...
Dawn lurked throughout the office building. "If you do not come out here right now, your death will be more painful than you can imagine." Dawn thought he heard something, and threw over a nearby desk. There was nothing there.
This desk was right next to Angel. Dawn looked like he might be turning away from her desk, but right as he was about to move along, she let out a muffled cry. Dawn tossed the desk she was hiding under aside. Angel screamed and mentally launched the giant metal cabinet besides her. The cabinet squished Dawn's arm against the wall, which was now unusable. Dawn didn't care about that though, as he just grew it back immediately.
Angel ran through the city, not caring where she was going. After all, anything was better than being here. She heard Dawn behind her, and as she rounded a corner, she realized she had reached a dead end.
Dawn slowly lurched towards her, radiating a sense of power. Dawn screamed and reached for Angel's head. Angel screamed and dropped to the ground, but was unsuccessful in avoiding Dawn entirely. Instead, Dawn was able to grab part of Angel's face around her eye, and ripped it off.
Dawn bent down to take out her other eye, and just before he was about to, Tim came and whisked Angel away.
Angel had no idea how high they were. All Angel could see was darkness from one eye, and the red of her blood in the other. She could, however, hear the beating of Tim's wings and guessed that they were flying, which explained why her feet couldn't feel anything.
"Really Tim?" Dawn asked, "are you just going to stay up there forever?"
"No, but I know you aren't coming up here." Tim said, as he rose higher and higher into the air.
"Okay, well neither can literally everyone else, so yeah I don't think that's gonna be a problem."
"But you also can't run very far, while I can fly very fast. Which is useful if an atomic bomb is coming."
"And why would an atomic bomb be coming to kill me?"
"Because the Time God is here, and according to your heart rate monitor, you're dead. So yeah, maybe shouldn't have put that tracking device on me."
Tim smiled and threw a small metallic object on the floor, before flying off.
Then Dawn screamed into the air "You can't do to me." Dawn paused for a second, and then said "if you do this to me, you will never see Alexander again."
Suddenly the air around Angel stopped rushing past her, and she could feel herself come to a sudden stop.
"Alexander is dead. I sent him to his death; fighting you." Tim said, his voice shaking.
"No, Alexander is still alive, and if I live through this, you will see him again."
"I'm sorry, but I can't do that. I... I can't risk billions of lives just so I can see him again. No matter how much I want to say sorry to him."
As they were flying off, a bright light went off in the distance. Angel could barely see it through the blood, but it was there. The whole time she could hear Dawn screaming.
He might not have been at ground zero, but he was probably close enough to die due to the blast, and if not, he would die from radiation.
Meanwhile Angel let out a tear from her one good eye, which froze to her skin immediately. She would be forced to go back to her parents, who she had so desperately tried to run away from.
But oh well, there was nothing she could do, this was where her life was now, and there was nothing she could do.
