Angel was glaring hardcore at Lance. She had voiced some complaints before, but she decided to tone them down, in fear that others might think her too bothersome or annoying. She was rethinking that choice though, as it might be better to be annoying than dead.

As they were about to turn the corner and enter the area behind the old shops, Lance grabbed Angel arm, "Listen, I really am sorry for this. But we can't let people die. If it makes you feel any better, I will be right with you the whole time."

Angel wouldn't admit it due to her anger, but Lance's statement did help her feel a little better. They had been through everything together, so it was nice to know that he was here for her in this too.

In the far corner were three figures, the inhuman named Dawn, the second man who was present at the execution, and some other man. They were all illuminated by one of the lights on the stores

"That's Michael to the left." Lance whispered in Angel's ear, and pretended to almost drag Angel along so as to not look suspicious to Dawn, "he is the one who is currently in the lead to become president after the government is restored."

Angel had no idea Lance was keeping up with this stuff, she had never been interested in politics, it made her feel pretty sick. After all, everyone seemed to be so horrible. Maybe that was just the pessimist in Angel though.

"Hey Dawn!" Lance shouted at the group, "I have Angel."

"Good, now bring her here." Dawn stood up his chair, and flicked a switch, causing more of the lamps and bulbs on the store to light up. When the place light up, it almost sounded like a human exclaimed something. In fact, that voice almost sounded like Stephanie voice.

...

Trisha hand was still holding Stephanie hand a second later, "are you done?" Trisha asked in a tone so quiet that even Stephanie, who was right next to her, could barely hear her.

Stephanie nodded, and whispered "sorry." Stephanie meant it too. After the lights had come on, Stephanie could clearly see the third man from the roof. That man was Michael.

"What is he doing with that cult?" Stephanie asked, her head beginning to pear over the edge of the roof.

Trisha pulled her down quickly, and gave her the look of death, "I don't know, and I don't care. Now why don't we stay down here while Lance can hopefully recover from this mess."

"Again, sorry."

"Its fine, just prepare to jump off when we need to."

"Okay," Steph began to rub her hands together impatiently, "could Michael really join them."

"You know Michael better than I do."

...

"Did you guys hear that?" Dawn asked, with a smile growing on his face.

"Yeah, it was a crow." Lance replied in his usual smooth tone, "they're all around here. They're a real pain too when I'm trying to sleep."

"I could certainly see why. Anyways I'm assuming that the girl next to you is Angel."

"Sure thing," Angel was brought closer to Dawn. Dawn seemed even scarier up close. His smile was unnatural and unfitting for the situation. He looked like a scientist who had just discovered some new species.

His fingers grabbed Angel's face as he turned her face. There was something wrong with his fingers though. It seemed to Angel that the tip of his fingers were trying to escape the gloves.

"Yep, this is Angel. Take her away."

"Oh I dont think you will, now!" Lance screamed.

The ones who could heal jumped down from the roof, while the other barged through the doors of the building. Now Dawn was outnumbered 2 to one.

Michael ran forward, but Dawn grabbed his chest and pushed him to the ground, before yelling, "Listen, no one has to die tonight." he then put his hands up in the "i surrender" position, and whispered something to himself.

"Whats your game?" Trisha asked, careful to approach Dawn while watching him from all angles.

Dawn laughed, "I am outnumbered two to one. Any sane person will tell you that normally those are not good odds. Now listen, I could be very useful to you, after all, I know lots of things."

"And what about your two friends?" Trisha placed a heavy amount of emphasis on "friends" while looking straight at Michael

"Oh, well of course you will have to let them go. I promise they won't tell anyone about this night though."

"Oh yeah, and should i just take your word for it."

Dawn looked insulted at that last comment, "Um excuse me. But I do not lie. I'm shocked you haven't figured this out. Did I not fulfill my last promise to bring you the notebook. I had no reason to give you that notebook, but I did, because I will never, ever be wrong."

Adam stepped between Dawn and Trisha, "He has a point, I don't think I have ever seen Dawn lie. Tim also has vouched for his honesty numerous times."

Dawn looked flattered by that comment, "See you should listen to Adam more often. Anyways, Michael, Charlie, will you please leave us."

Michael and the other man (presumed to be Charlie) both started to walk the other way slowly, before Dawn waved them away with his hands.

When the two where still not walking faster, Dawn yelled, "If you two do not leave me be in the next three seconds I will personally remove your still beating heart from out of your chest." That seemed to finally get the two moving faster, "Sorry about that. My underlings can be quite stubborn in questioning my judgment. Anyways, please take me away."

"Where should we take him?" Sapphire asked the group, surprising Angel, as that was the first time Sapphire has talked in a while.

"I know an old TGK base is around here. We could store him there, and no one would know where he is. Plus the place is soundproof too."

Dawn silently thought to himself "see, I am a genius" and was led away to the storage room.
