I nervously walked over to Carter's house. The entire point of us going to the Bronco game was to ease him into coming to California for Thanksgiving. But I had completely forgot to ask him.

So that's why I was standing in front of his doorway knocking lightly on the door. Thankfully Carter opened it up.

"Well the is a nice surprise," he said monitoring me to come inside. "I guess you didn't get enough of me last Thursday," he joked.

"Haha good try hotshot."

"Well, then why are you here?"

"Maybe I just missed you?"

"Uh huh. So why are you here?" He said doubting my previous answer.

"Well.............you see I took you to the game to kind of ease you into some information."

"Oh God Keeley. Are you pregnant? We never even had sex? Or was it even me? I thought you said you didn't want to have sex until you were married? Are you cheating on me? Keeley tell me what shit is going on right now!"

Oh Lord, I have one stressed out boyfriend.

"Jesus Carter, calm down! No I'm not pregnant, and I am most certainly not cheating on you. God."

"Oh," he said calming down. "So what info are you here to tell me then?"

"Well it's more if a question. I was wondering if you were willing to take an 18 hour drive to San Francisco for Thanksgiving with me and my crazy family?" I asked practically begging.

Carter just laughed.

"Wh-what's so funny?!" I questioned slightly angered.

"You crack me up Keeley. Of course I will go with you. You didn't need to go through all that trouble," he said pulling me into a hug.

"T-thanks. I was just nervous because last time you came, they tied you up and locked you in a closet for an hour."

"I don't remember that," he said. "Don't worry we'll have a great time. I still can't believe you thought I would say no," he said giving me a quick kiss.

"So is that a yes?" I said looking up into his crystal blue eyes.

"Yep."

*Nine hours until road trip*

Alex was busy applying a blue nail polish to her toes while I was throwing some last minute things in my suitcase.

"You know, you could help me," I said.

"I could but I wouldn't want to mess up my toes," she joked.

"Why did you even come if you weren't going to help?" I teased her adding my 49'ers sweatshirt.

"Good question. Well I guess so you could say goodbye to me."

"Whatever," I laughed.

I finally had everything stuffed into my bulging suitcase. I threw on some soccer sweats and a T-shirt preparing for the long drive. I didn't even bother doing my makeup. It was more important to be comfy than pretty in this situation. We were leaving at 3 in the morning so I figured I would say goodbye to Alex today. I pulled her into a hug.

"Have fun in Cali Keels with lover boy," she whispered.

"Whatever. Have fun with your family and save me some if your grandma's cherry pie!"

"Will do," and with that she got into her car and drove away.

Liz had left for Florida yesterday so I said goodbye to her yesterday. Her and her family were huge, Florida college football fans, so they were going to watch the football game.
