"have you contacted anyone?", renjun inquired as he hopped inside haechan's car, haechan quickly denied as he shook his head

he leaned forward, "please follow jeno's car", he ordered to his driver which the latter quickly followed

"why are you so obsessed in knowing where jeno will go?", renjun inquired once again as he looked through his phone's contact list to find jaemin's name

haechan looked at renjun's phone, "you know how jeno doesn't really go out at this hour, anyways who are you trying to contact?"

"jaemin?", renjun moves closer to show haechan the contents of his phone, he clicked jaemin's name on the contact's list and dialed him

seconds later, jaemin picked up the phone, "hello renjun-ah! do you need anything?"

"hey, jaemin! is jeno going at your house tonight? to hang out or something?", renjun immediately inquired

"jeno? we don't have any plans tonight. why?"

renjun slowly looked at haechan who is currently anticipating for his answers, "ahh no plans for tonight? alright then, thanks jaemin!"

haechan quickly frowned when he heard that from renjun

"no worries renjun! see you tomorrow at school!"

"see you", renjun hangs up the call and faced haechan, "so where is he going at this hour?"

haechan shrugs as he proceeds to bite his nails because of his anxiety, "i don't know man"

"don't be too anxious", renjun patted haechan's back, "jeno is old enough to make choices of his own and i know that this time, he will be safer"

haechan nodded, "i know"

the car suddenly stopped in a familiar neighborhood, "sir, jeno stopped his car"

haechan and renjun looked in front and saw jeno going out of the car as he brought basket full of fruits with him, "when did he have time to buy that?", haechan suddenly commented

however, the boys suddenly gasped when they recognize the house he is about to enter

they see haejoo who went out to welcome jeno, she also laughed on how jeno brought a fruit basket

"we're not seeing things are we?", haechan suddenly inquired

renjun shakes his head, "no, this is real time and live", renjun positioned his phone and quickly took a picture of the couple

haejoo welcomed jeno to her house, she immediately laughed as she saw him bringing a fruit basket, "you don't have to bring that"

jeno smiled, "well i want to?"

haejoo nodded, "alright, come in!"

jeno followed haejoo inside her abode, it's not his first time to visit but it is definitely his first time to visit ALONE

"JENO!", haejoo's mother called out, she proceeds to go near jeno and hug him, "it's nice to see you again!"

"it's nice to see you again too, auntie. how are you?", jeno greeted which crept a smile to haejoo's mom

"you know that you can call me 'mom'", haejoo's mom chuckled, haejoo immediately glared at her mom due to her choice of words

jeno laughed, "oh by the way, this fruit basket is for you"

haejoo's mom squealed as she received the fruit basket from jeno, "you're so sweet like your mom!"

haejoo sighed, "are you done talking, mom? we have to do our project, yes?"

"oh, yes! i'm sorry dear, you can go up now", haejoo's mom smiled and started leaving the place, "i will give you kids some snacks later!"

"thanks auntie", jeno replied although inaudible because of sudden screams from the outside

"MOM! WHOSE CAR IS THAT? oh-", haejoo's older brother, changbin, suddenly barged in the living room

noticing jeno, he immediately stopped on his tracks making the guys who followed him bump behind him

"yah! changbin hyung!", jisung complained but was immediately silenced when he noticed haejoo and jeno

jisung awkwardly smiled at them and waved his right hand, "hello haejoo and jeno?"

"what brings you here?", felix suddenly inquired obviously to jeno

jeno scratched his nape, he knew that he can't tell them about the supposed history project because they, too, will be bewildered when they heard about it

haejoo cleared her throat as she holds on to jeno's wrist, "we have to talk about something"

felix nodded as seungmin butted in, "about what?"

haejoo smiled, "maybe later, min"

haejoo had an eye contact with hyunjin but she immediately looked away, trying to avoid any presence of the hwang hyunjin

jeno smiled, trying to hop on to haejoo's lies, "shall we talk about that now? in your room?"

"IN HAEJOO'S ROOM?", hyunjin suddenly screamed, still shocked from what he heard

haejoo titled her head, "got a problem with that, hyunjin?"

"big oof", jeongin commented which he regrets later on because of hyunjin's death glares

"anyways, we have to go oppa. i'm pretty sure you're just going to use the living room. by the way, mom's in the kitchen if you need anything. then, bye!", haejoo waved good bye at them as she dragged jeno upon going at her room

"i thought your boyfriend will not be here", jeno whispered to haejoo

"i told you, he's not my boyfriend"

jeno pouted, "then who's your boyfriend?"

haejoo stopped on her tracks and looked at jeno, she just shrugged as a response and entered her room together with him
