senior year, it is the year where we will be having the best decisions in our life. also, the year where we take the biggest and greatest exam ever recorded.

people usually change during this time of the year but as for me, i'm still the same. the same Na Jaemin everyone encounters.

"hey!", one of my friends, Lee Jeno, greeted me along the hallway. he greeted me with his usual eye smile that made every girl in the campus freak out.

"hey, where's hyuck?", i replied back as we started walking together, he quickly frowned hearing those from me

"you're not even asking if i'm fine or what?", his frown got even lower

i chuckled, "i know you're always fine, don't sulk. so where's hyuck?"

jeno rolled his eyes, "haechan's with renjun, he forgot something in our office so he asked renjun to come with him."

"oh i thought he'll be with your older brothers"

"HAECHAN WITH THE OTHER LEE'S AND THE ADOPTED ONES? THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE!", jeno laughed loudly, i quickly slapped his shoulder when students started staring at him

jeno quickly covered his mouth and leaned closer to me, "you know that's impossible, the three of the youngest original Lee's will never click with the older ones"

jeno paused and sighed, "especially with the adopted ones"

i nodded, getting his point, "you've been ranting half of your life to me when your other four older brothers suddenly came"

"I KNOW RIGHT! THEY ARE NOT EVEN PURE KOREANS!", jeno gritted his teeth, "they are so annoying as if they originally owned our mansion! they litter everywhere for goodness sake!"

"you don't know how to clean too as far as i know", i suddenly commented which made jeno to stop from his tracks

jeno glares and shrugged, "well that makes haechan and mark hyung as the compulsive ones but mark hyung's not in the mansion anymore!"

i patted his head, trying to calm him down, "calm down, can you give me some good news instead? you know, the light ones!"

jeno pouted as he looked down, i waited for him to talk when he suddenly looked up and smiled,

"I HEARD THERE'S A TRANSFEREE! AND SHE'S IN THE SAME CLASS AS US!", jeno cheered in delight

"so it's a she? a female?"

jeno nodded, "i forgot the name though but we'll get to know about her anyways, so no biggie!"

"it must have been great to own the school, you knew everything!"

"of course! i even know the schedules for the school activies!", jeno laughed

my ears suddenly became alert when i heard those from him, "SCHOOL ACTIVITIES? WHEN WILL BE THE ART FEST?"

jeno smirked and shook his head, "i'm not going to tell you, that's cheating"

"whatever", i rolled my eyes as i sit on my usual chair near the window, jeno sits in front of me

renjun came in with a frown on his face, haechan followed him laughing, renjun dropped the books he brought on a desk just beside jeno's and complained, "tell your brother not to bring me in there next time or else i'll kill him"

"uhm okay..", jeno's words trailed off when he looked at his brother and back to renjun, "but you're not sitting here though"

"I KNOW! just let me, for now!", renjun sighed before he opened a book

i moved closer to them and inquired, "what happened in there anyways?"

"ask hyuck", renjun answered plainly as me and jeno quickly looked at haechan's direction who's currently laughing still

haechan noticed the stares and quickly raised his arms to defend himself, "i did nothing"

"wow, that came out from you"

"what did you do to huang, really?", jeno inquired this time

haechan shrugged, "i just locked him in that room with the halloween props the university used last year, i never knew he'll be that scared!"

"you literally knew from the start that he's afraid of ghosts", jeno commented

"HE LOVES SCI-FI AND ALIENS BUT HE'S AFRAID OF GHOSTS? THAT'S NONSENSE!", haechan argued back

renjun rolled his eyes as he continued to read the contents from his book, i quickly closed his book, stopping him from reading, "it's too early to study, huang. stop it."

jeno nodded, "you're such a studious"

"it's never 'too early' for a senior student to study. might as well acquire this hobby of mine since it's not yet too late.", renjun opened his book once again and continued reading where he left off

i pouted as i slowly moved back to my chair, haechan hissed before he went back to his favorite seat in the classroom which is one desk away from me, jeno leaned closer to renjun and whispered, "hey, did you know that we have a transferee?"

renjun looked at him and furrowed his eyebrows, "a transferee in a senior year? is that person even okay? no one transfers during senior year anymore."

i nodded as i agree to renjun's statements, it's rare for students to transfer especially if you're in this important grade level. there were a lot of documents to transfer and it's too much of a hassle if you suddenly decided to transfer schools.

and that includes shifting majors.

jeno shrugged, "i heard she's from Japan though, so i think that makes sense?"

renjun gasped when the same homeroom teacher from last year suddenly walked in and greeted everyone, "good day, students! i'm still your homeroom teacher and you still have your old classmates unless for those who shifted majors, they're not here anymore."

"why is he our teacher again?", i inquired leaning forward to jeno's directions

jeno sighed, "haechan asked for it, even for the same classmates, and that's the same for every section there is"

"oh", i reacted and looked at haechan's direction who is smiling proudly by himself, haechan looked at me and mouthed, "be thankful"

our teacher clasped his hands together and smiled, "for this school year, we have a new student. she came all the way from Japan but don't worry she can speak Korean because she's a Korean her self."

"uhm okay? when can we meet her?", Seo Haejoo, who had her desk in front of haechan, inquired

jeno looked at her direction and smiled, however haejoo is too numb to even notice

poor jeno.

"you can meet her right now. please come in!", our homeroom teacher ordered and a girl with bangs on entered the classroom

she scanned the whole room and smiled, our teacher gestured his hand forward, "please introduce yourself"

she bowed, "hello everyone, i'm Kang Chaerin! i hope we could be friends!"
