"hyuck?", jeno called out as he looked for his brother's sign around the school, he passed by through an abandoned office but stopped walking midway when he heard someone sighed

he instantly opened the door to that abandoned office and smiled, "i knew i will find you here"

haechan looked up and glared at his brother, "shut up and leave"

"never", jeno replied as he sits beside his brother, "not until you tell me what's the problem"

haechan pouted, "i don't have any problems"

"you do", jeno instantly replied, "i know you for 15 years already and i know that's what you constantly express when you have a problem"

flashback

they were five years old when haechan met jeno. haechan hid behind his mother as they welcomed his dad and a new kid.

"what's his name?", haechan's mother asked as she crouched down

"that's jeno. he's a pure lee.", his dad replied as her mother instantly squealed and hugged the kid

the kid which goes by the name of jeno had a shocking face as he slowly hugged haechan's mother

haechan glared at jeno and instantly walks out of the place, "HAECHAN! WHERE ARE YOU GOING?", his dad shouted at the retreating figure of the kid

"YOU NEED TO PLAY WITH YOUR NEW SIBLING", his mother screamed afterwards but haechan didn't mind them and locked his room's door

haechan is playing with his new toys when jeno joined him, "can i play with you?"

jeno inquired but haechan never responded, he tried again, "what are you playing?"

jeno went closer to haechan but to no avail, he didn't got any response, "haechan? is that fun?"

"WILL YOU PLEASE SHUT UP?", haechan suddenly screamed which shocked jeno and that includes mark who just entered the living room

mark instantly grabbed jeno to move him away from haechan in case he'll do any harm to jeno, "what's your problem?"

"I DON'T HAVE A PROBLEM!", haechan replied but his eyes and body expressions were telling the opposite, he had his fists closed and his eyes glaring at jeno

taeyong saw the commotion and interfered, "hyuck, if your looks could kill, we'll be dead by now"

haechan was extremely annoyed by taeyong's statements as he instantly groaned and left the place

"are you okay?", mark inquired to jeno as he nodded, "i'm hoping we could be friends."

haechan hugged jeno from the side and sighed, "i don't have a problem. i'm just frustrated maybe?"

"why? is it because of jaemin's progress or there were other factors that caused it too?"

"truth be told jaemin was amazing earlier. i'm just somehow frustrated whenever i see him.", haechan pouted, "i know it's selfish. don't even scold me about it."

"and why are you frustrated to our friend?"

"BECAUSE HYEBIN LIKES HIM!", haechan suddenly screamed as he quickly covered his mouth

jeno chuckled, "so you like hyebin?"

haechan shakes his head, trying to say no, "i-i d-don't"

"yes, you do", renjun suddenly replied as he went out from his hiding place together with jisung, chenle, and jaemin

"what are you doing here?", haechan inquired, dumbfounded by the sight of them

"we're looking for you of course", chenle replied, not looking up from his nintendo switch

"don't worry, hyuck. i rejected her.", jaemin replied as he smiled towards the guy

"THAT WON'T CHANGE ANYTHING!", haechan pouted as he crossed his arms

"but maybe she has her own range of choices and you're one of those?", jeno replied as jisung agreed with a nod

haechan sighed, "i don't know. i'm not sure."

"start giving her gifts tomorrow and let's see how she reacts?", jaemin suggested as haechan looked up to see him

"do you think that's a good idea?"

"of course!", renjun replied, "i don't have a relationship yet but i know that would instantly win girls"

"you think so?"

jisung, chenle, jeno, and jaemin nodded in unison as haechan sighed, "i really don't know"

"don't be too anxious, hyung and start preparing for tomorrow!", jisung cheered as he tried to grab haechan to stand up

"but how about practice?"

jeno smiled at him, "we can have it tomorrow. we're too tried anyways!"

haechan pursed his lips into a thin smile as tears started flowing out from his eyes, he opened his arms waiting for a hug, "i'm sorry and thank you guys. you are the best!"

everyone smiled and hugged towards haechan creating a group hug, haechan snickered "okay, let's eat a meal and renjun will pay!"

"HEY! I NEVER SAID THAT!"

everyone cheered and instantly ran away, leaving clueless renjun and laughing jeno behind
