So this chapter contains a semi mature scene.
My eyes red from unshed tears, I raised a shaky hand to ring the doorbell. Please, I prayed, please don't be too angry, come open the door. My silent prayer was answered as the door was flung open, revealing Ethan who was bare to the waist. I opened my mouth to speak and shut it fast when I took a good look at his eyes.
His normal turquoise eyes were bordering on black, but what terrified me was what they were filled with. Anger. Dark promise. And as he swept his gaze over me, pure lust added. He didn't look like the Ethan I knew. He looked like the Ethan mum had so brutally described him as a few moments ago. Swallowing, I took a dangerous step forward.
"Ethan I ..."
I never got to finish my sentence because he grabbed me roughly and planted his lips on mine. There was nothing gentle about this kiss, it was angry, hungry, devouring. I let myself sink into it, a small part of me aware that I was using myself as compensation for mum's harsh words.
I had no idea we had moved until I heard the door kick shut and was hoisted against the wall. Making sure my legs were securely locked at his waist, he continued the kiss as he manoeuvred us to his room. I only knew we had gotten to the room when I came crashing down on his bed. His hands wasted no time at all, one worked the button and zipper of my jeans while the other slipped under my shirt to unhook my bra. Except of course, there was nothing to unhook because I was wearing a sports bra. Ethan growled when he realised this and in one fast fluid motion, my shirt went off and across the room, my jeans following not a moment less.
The alarm bells in my head were going haywire by now. I tried to shut it out. After all, there was nothing wrong with a bit of touching. Besides he knew my how I felt about sex and he wouldn't do anything I didn't like. Right? I stared at his still black eyes as he slipped a finger into my panties. Wrong. He would, because he wasn't the Ethan I knew right now. Wherever he was I had to call him back.
"Ethan." I breathed. "Stop."
My request was not granted.
I screamed this time. "Ethan. Fucking stop!"
His hands froze. Slowly, he looked at me as if just noticing who I was, his eyes returning back to their turquoise colour. His breathing became heavy as he dragged a hand down his face. I'd never seen him swear as much as he was doing now.
"Fuck." He muttered repeatedly, eyes tight shut. "No. Fuck. No. No. No. No. I did not. I did ... Shit. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid." He scrambled off the bed and out the room. I quickly threw on my clothes and ran after him. "Ethan wait!"
The roar of the engine as he drove out of the house told me I was a little too late.
***
Day one: Ethan avoided me like the plague. If anyone noticed they didn't say anything. Except Don, of course.
Day two: Mum tried to talk to me. I shut her out. After all, it was kind of her fault. I left my room later in the night to find out that she had travelled.
Day three: It was painfully obvious now that Ethan was avoiding me. I wrote up an entire song about how I felt. I got partnered with Jamie for my chemistry project.
Day four: I avoided everyone in the squad, and skipped lunch altogether preferring to spend it at the back of thee school where people hung out to smoke, buried in music from my headphones.
Day five: Fletch was always happy because he, Court and Davina hung out a lot. He tried to rub off his happiness on me but it didn't work out.
