"Eyes." I hissed for the umpteenth time. "On the damn road!"

Fletch huffed, tearing his gaze from Court, his now girlfriend, back to the road. I was really happy for them but I wanted to live, thank you very much. I was basically third wheeling here but hey, they're the ones who'd insisted we went to school in the same car.

"Fletch." I hissed again when his gaze fell back to Court and lingered for a long moment. "If you want to live, get married and have kids, the first step is to stay alive. Concentrate on the damn road before we crash or something!"

Muttering under his breath, he finally did as he was told. "Seven minutes." He lamented to a laughing Court. "She acts like she's my mum and she's only seven minutes older than me."

"Exactly. I saw the ugliness of this world seven minutes before you did. Which means I'm wiser."

He had nothing to say.

My ringtone cut through the following silence and without bothering to check the caller ID, I pressed the phone to my ear. "What?"

"Whoa, is that how you normally answer your phone?"

I blinked. "Kimberly?"

"Yes. How long will it take you guys to get here?"

"How did you get my number? And why are you asking?"

I could feel her rolling her eyes. "I have everyone's number silly, at least everyone who matters." I rolled my eyes. "Anyway, we all know that Fletch and Courtney are going out now and some girls who like Fletch and guys who like Court are waiting to see if it's true." She huffed. "Like I would lie. Get here soon OK?"

"Wait. How did you ..."

She hung up.

I stared at my blank phone. "Are you kidding me?"

Court turned in her seat. "What is it?"

"Apparently, the school now knows about you two. And they're waiting for you."

It seemed natural when she and my twin said at once. "Really? It just happened two days ago."

I shrugged. "Ah, the joyful mysteries of highschool."

My phone buzzed with a text. My eyes narrowed as it showed it was from an unknown number. And the text was plain stupid.

Unknown: Roses are red, violets are blue. You're so hot, I wanna fuck you.

Me: Who the fuck are you?

Unknown: Tasty Feisty I see.

Unknown: See what I did there? With the rhymes? *Nudge* Nudge* Wink* Wink*

I dumped my phone in my pocket as Fletch pulled up in the parking lot. I would deal with the fucker later. I readied myself for the people I knew were going to be standing outside the school doors, waiting for the latest couple. I slowly came out of the car, Fletch and Court even more slower, and ... Saw no one.

No one, not even a single soul was standing outside the doors. I shrugged. "That's weird. They're probably waiting for you two inside." I marched forward, stopping when I noticed they hadn't moved. "You coming?"

"After you."

I shrugged again and went ahead, throwing the doors open, my eyes narrowing immediately. A crowd was forming in the middle of the hallway, their chants not blocking out the noise of people fighting.

Crack.

As a violent person, I knew the sound of a broken nose anywhere. I rushed forward, eager to know who was involved and separate them, even if I would get hit in the process. I shoved my way to front, not bothering to apologize to whoever got affected ...
