Bandmate Love

This one-shot is a request from @TudorPrincess12 with the prompt being about Lee almost revealing his feelings for Faye towards H. It's based on the previous one-shot (Party Steps) and is basically a prequel to it. Hope you all enjoy reading and stay safe xx

Thoughtfully Lee is standing next to his bandmates, listening closely to the words of their choreographer who's currently explaining them the dance for their newest song. "Okay, enough of the explanation now." he finishes talking. "I would like to start rehearsing now to see how good you can already follow me. Does anyone know where Faye is?"

"Probably she overslept. Again." H chuckles, implying that Faye recently arrives late to rehearsals almost every day. Obviously not because she overslept but because of her and her fiance going to parties with her fiance's band - much to the dismiss of the Steps crew. "Or did she told anything to you, Lee?"

"We didn't speak since yesterday." Lee replies annoyed. "I could call her though and ask-"

These words are interrupted when Faye literally bursts through the door, kicking her dance stuff aside and acting like not arriving late while taking her place. "Hey!" she greets. "Did I miss anything?"

"Actually Faye, yes. You missed the explanation for our new choreography and I must say that I'm not happy about you constantly arriving late to rehearsals." their choreographer scolds. Faye frowns at him, shrugging before she just leans against the wall. "Faye, I'm talking to you. Could you please do what I say?"

"Of course, Sir. Lovely choreography." she says in her best posh accent, exchanging a look with Lee. Despite Lee considers himself as quite understanding, he doesn't agree with Faye's current behaviour. He doesn't know where her almost rude self suddenly originates from but it's like that ever since she's engaged and it saddens him because it's not the person Lee got to know a while back when the band was formed.

On top of that, H decided to tease Faye and Lee whenever they're talking to each other. Solely because of Lee mentioning how pretty Faye is; it was a compliment for all of the girls but apparantely H got some sort of wrong interpretation of it. 

Instead of thinking further, Lee walks over to Faye after they're allowed to take a small break from dancing. He can hear H laughing after him, but decides not to mind about his chatty bandmate being as teasing as usual. "Hey Faye." he greets, watching her playing on her phone. "Busy?" 

"Yes." she replies sharply. "That idiot of fiance promised me to pick me up from the studio later and now he writes me a message, look!" 

Lee looks at the phone, reading 'Can't pick you up later, meeting with the band. Love you, beauty xx' 

"He knows that we don't live close to the studio. Plus, I got no money for a taxi because I already spent everything on parties!" Faye explains, slamming her phone on the ground. "Idiot!"

"Trashing your phone doesn't changes that." Lee mumbles, not wanting to make it obvious that he's not too fond on Faye's fiance. He might be a nice guy but could really play with her. One minute he literally is spoiling her - buying her a new phone even if there's no need for it or buying dance shoes, driving her to the studio and wherever she wants, being all lovely - and the next second he literally forgets to pick her up from somewhere like he did most recently when they were celebrating. 

"Can you drive me later? Please?" Faye asks. "I don't like taking a taxi." 

"Of course I can." Lee assures her. "I'm going over to H now, you want to join?"

"No, I want to be alone. Go ahead." Faye mumbles, taking her phone again and typing a message to her fiance. Lee is glad that Faye's fiance couldn't see her face because it was obvious how angry his bandmate is and he's certain that her message isn't nice either.
