Wedding Guests

Based on a request from @muddyrockxo with the prompt being about Steps attending the wedding of Craig and his partner Jonathan, hope it lives up to your expectations and you all enjoy reading :) xx

"Wow, look at that location!" Lisa says fascinated as the band walks towards the place that Craig and Jonathan had booked for their wedding. It's a stunning location with lots of sparkle and glitter but also sort of showing whose wedding it is. From somewhere, music is playing loudly and people seem to sing along cheerfully. "Come on, let's make someone happy!"

Even if he's certain he couldn't be happier at the moment, Jonathan's eyes are widening upon seeing his absolute favourite band approaching him and Craig. They had been talking to their families earlier, talking about everything around the wedding and now Jonathan's attention is fully on his favourite band. "Oh my gosh, I still can't believe it. Steps is attending our wedding." he whispers to himself, seeing Craig smiling warmly. 

"Hey, look at the soon husbands-to-be!" H cheers, taking both of them in his arms tightly. "What a pretty location!"

"Thanks, I mean, thank you - I can't believe this." Jonathan mumbles, shaking his head in disbelief. 

"What? The wedding or that we're here?" H chuckles. 

"Both I guess. I mean - Steps is at my wedding!" Jonathan repeats. "Okay, sorry, enough of that. Does anyone of you fancies a drink? The wedding ceremony itself hasn't started yet so can I offer you something in the meantime?"

"We're always up for drinks." Lisa says with a grin, putting her arms around Faye. "So tell us Jonathan, how excited are you? It's your wedding after all!" 

"I can't even describe how excited I am, it's like I'm going mad." he admits. "Were you as nervous as this at your wedding too?" 

"Don't even ask." Lisa laughs. "Hey, you'd like to sing with us later on? After the ceremony I mean when everyone's on the dance floor."

"I can't sing or dance." Jonathan says shyly. 

"Well sometimes when you put Steps music on, you actually can be a pretty decent singer and dancer." Craig adds, earning a slight slap to the shoulder from Jonathan. 

"Craig, you're not supposed to tell them about that!" he complains, a blush appearing on his cheeks. "Sorry, that must seem- sorry." he simply says, wondering what they now probably sre thinking of him.

"Hey no worries. This is cute." Faye laughs. "Besides, some of us will be slightly tipsy later on so no one will have excellent dancing skills. Or singing skills."

"Not even our dancing queen?" H mocks her.

"Not even your dancing queen." Faye says back. "Any song you fancy, Jonathan?" she asks friendly, seeing the man clearly distressed by this whole situation of having his favourite band at his own wedding. It's sweet to see. 

"Oh, I don't know, I like them all, but maybe- Stomp?" he questions shyly. "Like a good party song. You could also sing anything else, after all literally all of your songs are just fantastic."

"Thank you." Claire smiles. "Well, can we help you with anything?"

"No, of course not. Take your drinks and feel free to take a seat. You'll notice when the ceremony starts." Craig smiles friendly as the band heads off to take their seats.

"It looks do fantastic here, I'm a bit jealous." Lisa grins. "They really choose a fantastic location and I love how sparkly everything is. Makes it obvious that Craig is a dancer, it looks a bit like I recall from Strictly. It just fits so well."
