[ eva's perspective ]
{thenextday--saturday}
"Eva!" I heard one of my brothers shout.
"What?!"
"Breakfast!" Came the reply.
Oh, food. How I love you so.
I took a shower and got dressed before heading downstairs to where my five brothers sat waiting for me.
"Hey guys," I said as I kissed their cheeks. "What's up?"
"We have something to tell you," Sam said quietly.
"Okay? And it is?"
Sam pointed to Tanner, who in turn pointed to Adrian, who then pointed to my oldest brother, Kendall.
"Point one more time and I'll castrate you all," I threatened. "Just tell me what happened."
Hudson, the second oldest, scratched the back of his neck. "I-I um.." He stuttered sheepishly.
"You what?" I snapped, I wanted to dig in already.
"I'm going to be a dad." He said.
Well, that's not surprising. All that sex and just one mistake of not wrapping the willy could bring all hell, or a little baby.
"How long have you known?"
"...About a month..."
He didn't tell me?
I pushed my plate away, not even hungry anymore.
"Hudson, tell me you're lying." I begged, tears brimming my eyes.
"I can't..."
I took a deep breath. "Okay, okay. It's alright. Who did you impregnate?"
"Erin Stevens." His green eyes, a trait all Edwards children shared, averted from my steamy gaze.
"You're kidding me, right?" I said, tears spilling over.
"...No..." He said before taking a big breath. "Look, Eva, I'm so sorr-"
A strained laugh came from my mouth. "No you aren't. You know what she did to me, you know what kind of person she is, yet you can't keep it in your pants long enough to recognize that the girl you're screwing is also the reason your baby sister almost committed suicide?!" I screamed at him. "I thought we were closer than that. Guess I was wrong."
I stormed out of the house. I couldn't be there with Hudson.
I started my car and headed to the only place I could think of.
Alec's house.
;
After arriving, I just let myself in. After doing so, I walked up to Alec's room.
I immediately stopped when I saw the beautiful, tiny, sleeping baby girl in the king size bed that belonged to Alec.
Alec chose that time to come out of his en-suite bathroom.
"Shit." He said.
"Yes, shit is right,"
;
Two hours later, I was cradling the beautiful baby after hearing Alec out.
Flashback
"Explain." I ground out harshly.
His eyes were pleading as he responded. "She wasn't planned.."
"Obviously."
He shot me a pointed look. "Her name is Sapphire Emily Logan and she-"
"You named her after me?" I asked incredulously. My middle name was Sapphire. Evangeline Sapphire Edwards.
He blushed. "Yeah, I did. Actually, Ryan, Lizzy, and I did."
I looked to his sister and brother for proof, and sure enough, they nodded their heads. I felt tears brim my eyes for the second time.
"Her mom was a girl I drunkenly did the nasty with, obviously. But she didn't want her. She signed away all of her parents rights. Everything."
I nodded at him, while looking at Sapphire.
"She's my bestfriend, my world, Eva. I honestly can't believe I created such a beautiful life such as Sapph." His eyes shone with so much love, adoration, awe -- my heart stopped. The man I was looking at now was not the same as the boy I've known for my entire life. I could tell this man would lay his life on the line for his daughter, while the boy would say 'EVERY MAN FOR THEMSELVES' and run in the opposite direction when it came down to responsibility.
Flashback over.
"Eva, you can't tell anyone I have a daughter," he told me after I had lulled Sapphire into a sleep.
"Why not?"
"They'll judge her. I'm so absolutely terrified that she'll have this assumption her entire life for mistakes that I've made," His eyes were the epitome of internal pain. "I don't have the best reputation, I know this. But Sapphire, she's just a baby. She deserves to make her own choices and not be judged because I'm her father."
I grabbed his hand in mine, squeezing it a few times to show my support. "I won't tell anyone," he breathed a sigh of relief. "But," insert Alec's sharp intake of breath, "You have to let me visit whenever I want. I want Sapphire to know Aunty Eva exists." I stated, while looking at the beautiful sleeping baby.
He smiles breathtakingly, and my heart skips a beat. Weird. "Of course," he says, squeezing my hand just as I had done a minute earlier.
I completely forgot about why I came over in the first place.
;
Hey so this is overdue massively, and it's short, I'm SORRY.
but to the side is what I picture Eva to look like, because she's the badass / sweet / nice / caring person and yeah except Eva has a bit brighter green eyes, electrifying ones.
So yeah, I hope you all enjoy bc new chapter will be out soon, with who I picture the ever so attractive Alec as! :D
Love always,
