She looked different.

Beautifully different though, she looked like an angel. A haunted angel.

My beautiful, haunted angel.

"Why are you here?" Her voice broke my thoughts, causing me to snap my eyes up to hers.

"I came to take you home." I answered, walking closer to her.

"I don't want to be taken 'home'," she said, her hands making air quotations around the word 'home'.

I looked at her, confusion all but written on my face.

She let out a humorless laugh, shaking her head. "Of course they didn't tell you. Why would they? You're their best friend, why tarnish your perfect, golden reputation with them?"

I was beyond confused. What happened?

"Ev.. What happened?" I asked lightly.

She looked at me, wild anger in her electric emerald eyes. "Well," she started, laughing in a humorless way again. "I guess I can introduce myself as 'Auntie Evangeline' now." She said, her head downcast.

"W-who?"

She looked up at me again, I could see tears forming in her beautiful eyes. "Hudson." Was her simple answer.

"Who's the mom?"

Letting out a loud, bitter laugh, tears fell down her face. "Why, Alec, the only girl in the world that can say she broke me, of course!" Her eyes were wild, raw with hatred, sadness, terror. "Erin. Fucking. Stevens."

Erin?

Seriously Hudson? Erin?

Erin's not even that hot, she doesn't hold a candle to Evangeline.

"When did you find out?" I asked gently, taking cautious steps toward her.

"Yesterday. They told me at breakfast."

I nodded, keeping my eyes on her, but getting closer each time we spoke.

"Do you know when this happened?"

She looked at me as if I were stupid. "Seriously? No. I don't know when my brother fucked Erin. And do I care? Not really," she exploded, her hands running through her newly dyed blue hair. "I had one year. One year until I thought I wouldn't have to deal with Erin ever again. I was going to move away to college, move away from this town. I was going to live a life without that.. that... that whore!" She screamed.

Closing the gap between us, I pulled her into my arms. Dropping all her bags and jumping on me, she cried into my neck as I held her tiny body.

"Shh, baby.. You have a little gem at home that really misses you.. She'd hate to see that you're upset." I said lightly.

Her sobs calmed down, stopping at the mention of Sapphire.

"You mean Sapphire? Can we go see her? Please Alec!" She said excitedly, her green eyes, red from crying, held excitement and adoration at he mention of my baby.

"Of course we can go see her. You just gotta get all your stuff and put it in my car. You're gonna stay with us for a while, alright?" I finished, kissing her head.

She nodded, and I set her down so she could get her stuff.

Driving back to my house was easy, Eva had intertwined our hands as I drove, which made my heart swell.

Pulling up to my house, I told Eva to go get Sapphire and I'd get her stuff.

Not wasting any time, she ran into the house.

I looked at her stuff in the backseat. It was a lot... Damn it.

But you know what?

Two trips are for pussies.

Aaaaaanyways.. How's your summer? Do anything cool lately?

I have not.. My life is boring. BUT HEY MAN THAT MEANS I CAN WRITE MORE!

Also this is not edited at all sorry fam! But I will go and edit all my stories at some point... (Probably not) (sorry bout it)

Alright so I'm pretty proud of this update because I was gonna stop it around the "Erin,, rly Hudson?" But I DIDNT so you should comment and vote and kiss me for being such a good and nice person.
