It began to get really dark, and the storm that was coming was approaching quickly.

Where was I?

Stranded in the middle of nowhere, with a dead car battery.

Better yet? My phone is at Alec's house.

Alec!

I started walking to the nearest gas station I knew of, which had a pay phone.

Oh god, how I hated pay phones.

Who knows what kind of disease-infested individuals had touched it?

I shuddered. I hate pay phones.

When I arrived about ten minutes later, my clothes were soaked and I was cold.

I walked to the pay phone, a napkin from my car in my hand.

Ain't gettin' no diseases today.

I picked up the phone hesitantly, lifting to my ear, careful not to let it touch my face.

I put in the money and dialed the familiar number.

"Hello?" He answered on the third ring.

"Heeeey," I voiced sheepishly.

"Eva?"

"Ding ding, we have a winner." I say sarcastically.

"Eva, where are you?"

"I got stranded about two miles from this gas station, and I need you to come pick me up, because my car's battery died and I'm terrified of thunder and lighting. Also, could you bring Sapphire? I want to see her again." I rambled.

"Um, sure, we'll be there in about fifteen minute, Ry and Liz are coming."

"YAY!" I screamed before he hung up.

I quickly put the nasty pay phone down and went inside the gas station. I bought Hershey's Cookies and Creme drop things, a bag of Sour Gummi Octopus, and a giant bag of hot Cheetos.

I am so happy right now.

CRACK!

I TAKE THAT BACK, I TAKE THAT BACK, I AM SO NOT HAPPY RIGHT NOW I AM TERRIFIED.

Stupid thunder.

Stupid car.

Stupid Hudson.

Stupid Alec.

Stupid brothers.

Stupid weather.

Stupid roads.

Stupid gas station.

Where is Alec? He said fifteen minutes, it's been an hour!

Ah, speak of the devil and he shall appear.

Alec's car drove under the awning thing, and got out. "Are you alright? Did anyone hurt you?" He asked, checking my body over to see injuries.

I smacked his head. "I grew up with five brothers. As if I'd let anyone hurt me. Now get in the car, I want to see Ry and Lizzy and Sapph." I said excitedly.

I climbed into the passenger seat and forced Ryan to give me Sapph.

After scooting back the seat as far as I could, I held the giggling baby in my arms until she fell asleep.

"She looks so much like you, it's uncanny." I whispered to Alec.

He looked over at his baby and smiled.

I kissed Sapphire's head, before carefully twisting and sitting her back in her car seat thing.

Alec soon pulled up to the gigantic mansion I called home, and I sighed heavily before kissing Alec, Ry, and Liz on the cheek and getting out.

I trudged up to the gate and let it scan my fingerprint.

"This house is so stupid." I said to myself.

Once I reached the stairs, I heard a booming voice.

"Evangeline Sapphire Edwards!"

I turned around to see none other than my oldest brother, Kendall.

I glared at him.

"I'm sorry we all kept it from you. But we've all been worried sick. We just lost mom, dad, and Andrew. There's no way we're losing you too..-"

He was cut off before he could continue. "You have no right to bring up his name!" I screamed fiercely. "I lost my entire family, three to death and the rest to secrets," I paused, wiping the tears I refused to let fall. "I have no family as of right now." I screamed, before running up the stairs.

"HE WAS MY BROTHER TOO EVANGELINE!" I heard Kendall shout from behind me, earning him the bird.

After changing and getting in bed, I cried myself to sleep.

just had to make that clear, but I have a band concert today and it's my last one at my current school, before I move to my new school.

Fingers crossed I don't puke on the first day.

UPDATE SCHEDULE:

I have semester exams starting Wednesday, and I'm using this ENTIRE week to study/take them, so no updates, I'm sorry.
