---CHANGE DIRECTION---

Spencer Reid had come to an ultimatum, he had been wrong which was not something he admitted to himself often. He knew the answer to most things and his predictions were more accurate than the weathermen but this had blindsided him. The night after he had helped Abigail sneak out of the BAU's annual drug text he had slept at her house. They had never crossed that line, she left his apartment no matter the time of night or the weather after their, flings. The second difference being they didn't sleep together. Spencer found himself passing out in her guest bedroom and her driving him to his apartment at the crack of dawn so he could change clothes.

After which every time Abigail had visited him she stayed a bit longer. They talked more and sometimes forgot that originally they had planned to get in the other pants. Movie marathons filled a few of their nights rather than the bedsheets.

One morning Abigail brought him coffee out of nowhere, setting it off at his desk one morning because she had 'thought about him' and decided to buy him one. His favorite coffee shop and ordered just the way he liked that was when Spencer had the thought. He thought, maybe, he had feelings for Abigail.

September had arrived with heavy muggy rain that made the air thick and nasty. It was days like these where Abigail was tempted to go back to LA after being in the hot sun for two weeks the Virginia weather was like a smack in the face.

However, Abigail pulled herself out of her bed to get dressed for work. A pair of black heels to match the belt in the middle of her cream dress, she painted her lips the dark shade of red after she pulled her hair into a low bun. At 6:30 she entered the office coffee in hand, she winked at Spencer before making her way to the second floor. She wished Hotch a good morning as usual only to receive a handful of files in return. So once again she cocooned herself in her office to choose a case.

By eight am Abigail had Hotch gather everyone into the conference room.

"Where is JJ?" Emily asked as she followed her coworkers into the conference room.

Spencer slid in his chair as he answered. "She took time off to be with Will and Henry."

"Will and Henry?" He looked up to see Abigail messing with the projection screen as she prepared it for the briefing.

"Her husband and son." Abigail nodded slowly feeling a bit out of place, months of working with this woman and she was just now learning the man of her husband. The nice ring on her finger and the small band had indicated a new but good marriage but Abigail had no clue JJ had a child. "Henry is my godson."

"You have a godson?" Abigail didn't know whether the weird air bubble that had collected in her chest was a good thing. A part of her liked the idea of Spencer playing with kids but another found it revolting. The thought of children made her skin crawl.
