When the BAU gets a letter saying they would get a new member they were more than willing to accept any extra help the government would give them. What they were not expecting was a new pair a shiny pair of high heels to dominate the field.

By the time the team got to the Police Station, it had become hectic. The majority of the detectives had been called to a construction site where four bodies had been found. So Abigail and Derek didn't even enter the station before driving back towards the suburbs.
"Do you think they were dating before Hopes kidnapping?" Derek asked as he drove past another neighborhood.
"No." Abigail pulls down the visor taking her hair out of the ponytail that was making her head uncomfortable against the headrest. "I think they were just fuck buddies."
"At 17?"
"Derek kids these days don't do the 'normal' dating scene." Abigail half laughs moving her hair on her shoulder. "It's all complicated and it is blamed on the hook-up culture that's forced on these kids through mainstream tv."
"But the last two victims were dating."
Abigail let out a heavy sigh. "But their relationship was messy. You saw the messages between those kids. They fought all the time, cussed each other out, and said they loved each other."
These kids were all young. Abigail could vividly remember dating in high school. The mess that it turned into because they were young and reckless with their bodies and heart.
A cop car with a free detective had gotten to the house before the FBI agents. Abigail pulled her hair back up into a ponytail as Derek rang the doorbell. So they stood in silence until the door opened revealing a tall woman, dressed for what Abigail assumed was for work looking worried.
"Hi." Derek greeted the woman at the door, he pulled his badge out ready to show her.
"Hello, how can I help you."
"I'm Special Agent Dr. Abigail Beather, this is Special Agent Derek Morgan and Officer Bradley," Abigail answered as the woman looked at Derek's badge. "Is this the Abebe residence?"
"Yes ma'am it is."
"Are you Mrs. Abebe ?"
"Yes I am, is something wrong."
"We need to speak to your son Treyvon."
"What did he do?" The fear in her face became evident as she took a step back into the door. Understandable given the situation, the family had been getting ready for the day and there were federal agents at her door.
"Ma'am we're looking into the kidnapping of Hope Bass, a girl that your son knows."
"The little redhead on the news?"
"Yes ma'am."
"Um...sure come in." The police followed her into the foyer of her house, a younger boy with dreads stood on the stairs looking confused and as frightened as his mother. "Darius get your brother right now then go to your room."
