Abigail Bethear
---POISONED AIR---
"What the hell," Abigail muttered as she brushed past men in military uniforms and approached JJ, who wanted to go back in time three weeks and be home with her family. "Why is the Army here?"
"Come on, the CDC is here."
Abigail's eyes went wide, she glanced at a large number of men in the bullpen. "The CDC?"
"Get in the conference room as soon as you can."
Abigail huffed, taking her jacket off and placing it on the hanger just inside her door. She dropped her bag and walked in front of Reid who apologized.
"I didn't see you." He muttered, placing his hand at the small of her back to usher her forward a bit. "We need to get to the conference room."
The last three weeks had been very confusing for the pair of adults. Hotch was still trying to figure out whether or not he liked the idea of Abigail traveling with the team. She had been sent to help Penelope and it helped them solve cases faster but Abigail had a particular skill set that was helpful on the field. It also meant that neither Spencer or Abigail could escape the other, it was both a good and back thing but the butterfly's were getting ridiculous in Abigail's opinion and Spencer couldn't speak properly.
"Guys," JJ greeted as the group entered. "This is Lynda Kimura, Chief of Special Pathogens at the CDC." Abigail sat on the side table as she watched the Asian women survey them.
"Hello." Lynda greeted as she made eye contact with everyone. "I'm sorry to meet under these circumstances."
"What circumstances?" Reid questioned by Emily elbowed him slightly in the rib.
He was always impatient, he looked at Abigail across the room but she only smirked at him.
"We need to get started, "Hotch ordered as he slid a manila folder over to JJ who took off running.
"Last night 25 people logged into rooms in or out of downtown. They were all in the same park after 2 pm yesterday." Morgan handed Abigail a thick folder and shook his head when she opened it she understood why. Photo after photo of victims on life support. "within 10 hours the first victim died. It's shortly after 7 am today, we now have 12 dead."
Abigail looked at JJ in shock, before putting all of the photos beside her to look at the report.
"Lung failure and black lesions." Morgan read, he looked up at Lynda. "Anthrax?"
"Anthrax doesn't kill this fast." Spencer Reports but Lynda shakes her head.
"This strain does."
There was a heavy silence in the room before Rossi spoke up. "What are we doing about the potential mass target?" Abigail glanced at him then jots the word ANTHRAX in her notebook. "Airports, malls, trains any heavily populated area?"
