When the BAU gets a letter saying they would get a new member they were more than willing to accept any extra help the government would give them. What they were not expecting was a new pair a shiny pair of high heels to dominate the field.

Three cases in Abigail had adapted to the BAU as gracefully as one could. After going out for drinks with the team Abigail had identified who she would be spending the majority of her time with.
Penelope Garcia was an obvious choice seeing that they shared an office the majority of the time. She was easy to talk to and the two of them found that their ying-yang personalities fit in the space perfectly. Penelope was sparatic whilst Abigail was organized and knew what she was doing every day.
Aaron Hotchner, Abigail had found as a very emotionally distant man. They had light conversations here and there but she tried not to press too much into the man's life. She knew he valued his team, he only wanted to make sure she was fit for the task. Abigail was pleased to find Hotchner found her overqualified for the position, given her past in Private Investigation, going from a field job to a desk job could be very difficult.
Jennifer Jareau was not a woman of many words, or at least not to Abigail. Both the blonde woman had never actually spoken in more than a few words to one another. Abigail felt that it may have to do with JJ being a teams Leiason for such a long time, the 'threat' of another communications officer might have set her on edge. Though from what Abigail could tell, she was good at her job.
Derek Morgan was a sweetheart, Abigail found his flirty nature similar to her best friend, Alejandro's who was still in LA trying to cover her position and his. The pair had quickly established an easy-going friendship, conversation flowed easily between them.
Emily Prentiss was a god sent in the chilly DC air. The woman has a sense of humor that complimented Abigail. Both women knew that work was work but there was a time and a place for shits and giggles.
Shits and giggles the resident Genuis, Dr. Spencer Reid didn't understand. Abigail didn't think she had ever met such a naive 30-year-old in all of her life. He either lets things go straight over his head or try to over-explain them.
Her stepfather had explained to her that Spencer was a very unique individual. David Rossi had laughed at Abigail as he helped her settle into her new home. His stepdaughter had complained about the boy's lack of humor. How could somebody be so pretty and smart yet so dense? David had looked at the girl he had helped raise with his fourth wife before her untimely death. Abigail had been 15 when her mother had passed, David remembered Jody Bethear's funeral like it was yesterday. It was sunny and hot, not typical funeral weather but Abigail had worn a long sleeve black dress none the less. She had greeted all of the guests with a tight smile as she accepted gift after gift. He remembered her setting the last gift on their packed counter and just starring at the gift basket.
