---IT WASN'T PLANNED---
Spencer had no clue what to do as he watched Abigail slip off her high heel shoes. He had been with women before, despite what Morgan said, but never with a coworker or a girl he found as attractive as Abigail. She set them gently under the small table by the door, getting up to study Spencer, pulling her silver tank top up where it had slipped off her shoulder. She peered up at him holding her hand out to Spencer.
"Keys?" He handed them to her with hesitation, she had an awful lot to drink and he didn't want her driving.
She set them on the small table, pulling her phone out of her back pocket to set it beside her keys before removing her jewelry. The small pile of things that had accumulated by his door only made his heart race. She was either had something in mind or extremely high expectations and he didn't know which he feared more.
Abigail turned towards him, eyeing him and the hallway. "You gonna let me cozy up in your home by myself?" Abigail laughed when Spencer realized he was still gripping the door open. Abigail stepped over the single step that was the only barrier between her and the rest of his apartment.
She was immediately drawn to the large bookcase that met her when she entered. It was full of books, of all sorts. She saw books with a binding that looked older than her, ones with shiny plastic covers. "Hey Reid." Abigail called as she traced the spine of an older book. "How do you organize your books?"
Spencer hung his coat on the rack and his bag beside it, he followed Abigail into his apartment as she touched the back of one of the books. "By Literature type, author and year." Abigail turned as he stood behind her, gesturing to the top shelve on the bookcase. She would have to stand on her toes to read the titles being she was a few inches shorter than his six-foot self. "This is German fiction, A through Z." Spencer touched a very old one, Abigail stood on her toes to read the title of the book. "Written by Alsemer in 1864 which is the earliest German fiction book I have."
"Imagine having books hundreds of years old."
"I have books that are published much earlier." Spencer smiles as Abigail shakes her head with an amused smile of her own.
"You're passionate about reading aren't you."
Spencer nodded. "I would say that I am."
"I like to read," Abigail confessed, she gestured to the bookshelves on the wall. "Though it's nothing in comparison to the history you have."
"I think reading enriches the mind."
"My Papa' always said a little girl who read will be a big girl who thinks." She put her hand on Spencer's shoulder. "I want to know if any of those books taught you anything about women."
Spencer could hear the teasing in her tone as she pushed in past the bookcase into the open room. When he turned her hand reached forwards and he hit the wall. Abigail kissed Spencer, slowly running her hands down his covered torso until she reached a point she could grab the bottom of his vest then worked her way back up. She leaned back to let Spencer remove the article over his head before she pulled him in to kiss trying to unbutton his shirt at the same time.
