Part 10

"EMYRS!" Mordred shouted at a low voice "Calm down,"

Merlin had heard the voice of his friend speaking out to him and did what he had asked him now knowing that it was only a dream. Physically they could see Merlin's body calming down and no more tears were coming out. The others were all confused except for Percival

"So i was right," Percival let out a laugh and Mordred caught on

Mordred snapped his head towards Percival, hesitant clearly took over his eyes 

"What do you mean?" Mordred asked him and eyed the others in suspicion "What do you guys know?"

"We know that Merlin's a sorcerer," Leon blurted it out 

Arthur and the knights looked at him as Arthur face palmed himself but Leon just shrugged 

"You knew all this time?" Mordred asked bewildered and they turned to him 

"You had known he had magic, didn't you?" Arthur questioned 

"Of course," Mordred shrugged "He is kind of my King,"

His eyes met Percival who smiled in victory knowing that he was right and Mordred just glared at him 

"What are you lot smiling about?" Elyan questioned 

"Merlin is the king of the druids," Percival said bluntly like it was the most obvious thing int he world 

Their was a silence in the cell that you could even hear the pin drop on the stone floor. Mordred just face palmed himself 

"You could've handled it delicately," Mordred sighed but Percival just shrugged 

"Could you get us out of this?" Percival asked him ignoring the other's reactions 

Mordred sighed as his eyes flashed gold and the shackles around their wrists came undone and they sighed in relief rubbing the area where the shackles had tightened their skin and it was a little bruised. But Mordred told them to keep their eyes open for Morgana 

But another thing they didn't know was that Merlin had regained conscious and was now feeling a little more scared knowing that Arthur and everybody already knew about him. He had frozen on the spot not knowing if he should confront them because as soon as Morgana is defeated Arthur might burn him at the pyre like the ones before him. But he knew that he confront before them one day

"Hi guys," Merlin announced his presence 

The lot freezed again as they looked at Merlin, Arthur was by his side in a minute along with the others 

"Merlin!" Arthur said "How are you feeling?"

"I have been better," Merlin joked 

There was a thick silence between everyone all thinking the same thing, Merlin had heard them talking about him and his magic and that they knew he has magic. And that one of the reasons why Merlin kept his distance from Arthur not knowing his aftermath

"Okay," Merlin said standing up "I have had enough of it. Just tell me, am i gonna die when we regain Camelot?"

Arthur looked shocked along with the others. They had already talked it out that Arthur wasn't going to let Merlin die anytime soon however Merlin didn't know that 

"Do you really think that i would kill you? Do you really think i would be able to live with myself if i killed you?" Arthur kinda shouted at him standing up "How could you even think that?"

Merlin kept quiet for that part. He didn't know. His whole life he had to listen people calling him worthless, that no one loves him, that he is nothing but a servant. How can Arthur really blame him 

"You can't blame me for thinking that Arthur," Merlin explained backed away from him leaning his head against stone wall "All my life Arthur, i had to listen people call me worthless, tell me that i am nothing but a servant, i was bullied and beaten because i was a bastard because my father was on the run from Uther. I was told that no one would love me for i am nothi-,"

"YOU ARE NOT NOTHING," Arthur shouted at him walking towards him "PEOPLE DO LOVE YOU,"

"WHO LOVES ME?" Merlin shouted at him "I HAD A HANDFUL OF PEOPLE ONLY WHO I KNEW LOVED ME, MOTHER, FATHER BEFORE HE DIED IN MY ARMS, WILL AND GAUIS. THAT'S IT. DO YOU KNOW HOW HARD IS IT-"

Before Merlin could finish his sentence Arthur pushed Merlin into the wall, gripping his waist and his face centimetres away from the other. Arthur looked into the blue ocean eyes that mirrored his own, except these eyes were broken, raw from sadness and unmoved tears

"I love you," Arthur cried placing a hand on his cheek "I love you, Merlin,"

"What?" Merlin was confused if he had heard it right 

But instead of explaining, Arthur smashed his lips to Merlin's into a fierce but sweet kiss. Merlin's body calmed as he felt Arthur's heat and soft lips, he bought his hands around Arthur's neck pulling him closer. Right now in this perfect moment, they didn't care about anything but themselves. All Merlin could think about was that Arthur has accepted him and top of that he loved him. Sure it wasn't their first kiss, but it was just as exhilarating and full of raw emotion  

To breathe, both pulled away at the same time their foreheads still touching 

"I love you too," Merlin whispered back a smile forming on his lips 

Arthur smirked as he placed another kiss on his lips but both backed away as they heard clapping and chuckles. Their pale skin turned deep red from the attention and that only fuelled their laughter

"About time mate," Percival said placing a hand on Arthur's shoulder 

"Seriously, you guys were so oblivious," Mordred said "You guys just literally screamed a couple,"

"Scream reminds me," Merlin glared at Mordred as he walked towards him and hit him on the head like Arthur does 

The knights and Arthur stifled a laugh as they saw Mordred's expression but were still confused 

"What was that for?" Mordred said rubbing the back of his head 

"You screamed so loud in my head when i was having the nightmare," Merlin stated 

"Seriously?" Mordred answered 

"Seriously," Merlin concluded 

"Merlin?" Elyan spoke for the first time since Merlin and Arthur's outburst "You do know that you are our friend right? and that we care for you deeply? you are not just a servant for us"

Merlin looked on the ground ignoring their gazes as all of them had their gazes on him 

"I-I believed it for a w-while," Merlin stuttered 

There was a silence between them until

"HOW COULD YOU BELIEVE THAT?" A deep voice shouted at him
