Scars Untold (Merthur)

Part 11

There was a silence between them until

"HOW COULD YOU BELIEVE THAT?" A deep voice shouted at him

The lot jumped a little at the sudden sound of their friend and looked around trying to find his presence. There was a little shuffling behind Percival and suddenly two of the stone blocks came out of the wall and out came two figures draped with red cloaks. Mordred sighed at them. Percival didn't wait a second as he attached his lips to Gwaine. Lancelot chuckled beside Gwaine as he moved ahead and Merlin hugged him as Lancelot patted his back and then greeted the rest of the group 

Gwaine and Percival backed away smiling and blushing but other than that, Gwaine greeted the rest of the group 

"How have you guys been?" Arthur asked them 

"I had to spend this entire time with Gwaine, one could only think," Lancelot joked and Gwaine rolled his eyes but chuckled nonetheless

"Now back to business," Gwaine said and glared at Merlin 

"Exactly, I know what you have been through Merlin more than anyone here," Lancelot said "Heck, i didn't even know you when i first came to Camelot and you were willing to break the law for me. You trusted me with your secret though i was the one who figured it out. No one can ever hate you Merlin,"

"You our friend Merlin," Gwaine said "Brother at that. And we wouldn't have it any other way,"

"Merlin, we might not be that close like how you are with everyone else but that doesn't mean that I hate you or something, you know that right?" Leon stated and Merlin gave him a smile 

"You shouldn't listen to what other people think about you," Elyan said "They are jobless if they have time to wonder about other people's life in a negative way,"

Merlin who was no longer taking interest in the ground, met the eyes of his friends and lover

"I am sorry," Merlin smiled "I shouldn't have doubted you guys' friendship,"

"Yeah, you shouldn't have," Arthur said and then gave his attention to Lancelot "Now, you knew about Merlin's secret ?" 

"Of course," Lancelot shrugged "How else do you think he is still alive and didn't take any stupid decisions to keep you alive, like the time with Nimeueh?"

"Wait...wait," Arthur looked at Merlin and Lancelot "When was this? What are you guys taking about?"

As much as Merlin wanted to finally explain everything to Arthur now that he could, they really shouldn't talk about anything here since Morgana could come at any moment and she would pretty much notice the addition of two more knights in the cell and all of them untied 

"I will tell you lot everything," Merlin assured "But first we need a plan to get out of here before Morgana comes back,"

Gwaine chuckled as he made himself comfortable on stone ground and the others just looked at him with utter confusion hoping their friend isn't gone mad 

"We have taken the liberty to decide that," Gwaine said proudly "Now you just have to follow our lead,"

"Exactly, that's why we are here," Lancelot said and then turned to Mordred "They are ready and so we decided to go through with it in about a day max,"

"Okay," Mordred approved 

Others just looked between the trio wondering what was going on and wondering who is the 'they'

"You know just feel free to tell us when you guys are done," Merlin said voice dripping with sarcasm 

"There are knights and soldiers who escaped before Morgana could do anything and as soon as the druids knew you were captured too," Mordred explained "We have made an alliance until Morgana's death but they have asked a favour in return on that behalf are they gonna protect and save Camelot."

"What favour?" Arthur asked immediately 

"That you legalise magic," Mordred replied 

"Tell them consider it done." Arthur concluded and then glanced at Merlin and Mordred "I don't have much of a choice."

"Right," Mordred continued "Now that we have more people in number than Morgana and have full loyalty of the druids as well, you will have magic at your side...,"

"Thus our win against Morgana would be more sufficient," Merlin finished his sentence 

"Exactly!" Mordred exclaimed "We just need to a head up from you Sire, we need you all to be fine until tomorrow," 

"Don't worry about us," Leon called out "Just focus on what you have to do,"

"Leon is right," Arthur said "How do you know when you will strike?"

Mordred looked around the room and his eyes smiled at the window which showed the woods and coincidentally, it's the area where the others had made camp 

"Keep a look out for red sparks in the shape of the Pendragon crest through this window," Mordred pointed 

"I knew there was something about you Mordred," Arthur said "I trust you know what you are doing,"

"I do Sire." Mordred said "Now before Morgana comes back, Gwaine and Lancelot get out of here."

They gave a final nod to their friends as they made their way back through the passage ways they had once come from then Percival helped them from the outside to place the large bricks in their previous position 

"Let's get all of you back with the shackles shall we?" Mordred said rubbing his hands 

They groan as one by one Mordred places the shackles on his friends' wrists which compels them to the wall. Once again their meeting was interrupted by none other then Morgana's clicking heels 

"This should be fun." Elyan sighed
